Im pretty disapointed that I have to work tomorrow because I wont be able to watch this live. When I wake up for work ill be able to watch maybe 45 minutes of it, lol. Ill have to torrent it and watch later, and try my best to avoid results. Really wish I could pull an all-nighter and watch it tho.

Predictions.. which will likely be wayyyy off:

        Masato (54-6-2) -175 vs. Andy Souwer (134-8-1) +145
        Satoshi Ishii (0-0) -280 vs. Hidehiko Yoshida (8-7-1) +220
        Gegard Mousasi (27-2-1) -1100 vs. Gary Goodridge (23-19-1) +600
        Kazuo Misaki (22-9-2) -200 vs. Melvin Manhoef (23-6-1) +160
        Shinya Aoki (22-4) -500 vs. Mizuto Hirota (12-3-1) +300
        Tatsuya Kawajiri (25-5-2) -550 vs. Kazunori Yokota (11-2-3) +350
Norifumi "Kid" Yamamoto (17-2) -550 vs. Masanori Kanehara (15-7-5) +350
Hideo Tokoro (23-19-1) -215 vs. Kim Jong Man (20-10-3) +175 (unfamiliar with these guys but anyone whos lost as many fights Kim Jong Man has lately is probably going to lose)
Hayato "Mach" Sakurai (35-9-2) -215 vs. Akihiro Gono (30-15-7) +175
Hiroyuki Takaya (12-7-1) -135 vs. Michihiro Omigawa (8-8-1) +105 (Omigawa only because can say hes fought for pretty much every organization imaginable)
        Katsuyori Shibata (4-6-1) -135 vs. Hiroshi Izumi (0-1) +105
Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou (7-4) -285 vs. Ikuhisa Minowa (43-30-8) +225 (as bad as I wanna pick Minowan hes just been too beat up over the years.. been through too many wars. I think hes got a great chance to sub Soko, but I think hes going to get KTFO)
Alistair Overeem (31-11) -1100 vs. Kazuyuki Fujita (15-8) +600 (Overeem will use his sledgehammer to KO Fujita, he will need to hit him a dozen times to do so)
        Ray Sefo (2-0) -600 vs. Yosuke Nishijima (0-5) +400

BTW those 2 -1100 are the largest MMA favourites ive ever seen in terms of gambling, my god. And against 2 legendary fighters, too. Crazy.

Mousasi is actually -2000 on bet365. My god!

I'll put spoiler tags in case anyone will be watching it later

I didn't see the Kawajiri fight, the Ishii fight or the Kid Yamamoto fight.

It sucks Ishii is not a monster though, I know Japan expected him to be some sort of savior.

            Kid Yamamoto, WTF?

Shinya Aoki was fierce. If he did that in the U.S., people would be screaming for his neck. He breaks Hirota's arm, then flips him off, flips the fans off and makes fun of the fact he broke his arm. Then he acts as if he didn't just do that when he goes to look at Hirota's corner.

Damn, I would love to see Penn whoop his ass.

Mousasi and Overeem won easily, nothing to see here.

Manhoef was able to keep it standing and rocked Misaki. Now head to Strikeforce!

              heh, show wasn't that bad.

Had submissions, knockouts, the Yamamoto fight was solid.

As long as you didn't see the first part of the show (long and boring), it was solid.

But the ref didn't stop the fight until the arm broke.

Wouldn't you just love to see him try that shit with Penn. lol at the precise beatdown the Hawaiian would put on display.

Aoki getting grimey with it! Not gonna lie.. I laughed when I saw it, but it obviously was very classless.

The little fanfare I had for Magicpants is officially gone. He completely pissed that away.

He should be shot in the kneecap for the shit he pulled.

This card was solid. Not awesome, but solid. Not a lot of sizzle like previous years.

Still looking for K-1 Koshien and Shibata/Izumi footage.

Masato vs. Souwer was excellent. That's a good way to go out on, but like I said before I doubt he really retires.

Early stoppages abound tonight, but whatever. I'm not going to be shedding a tear for Misaki anytime soon.

                          Sefo's fight was garbage.

                          Mousasi's fight was too easy.

Omigawa = most improved fighter of 2009. This fight pretty much made my choice for FotY. With his big improvements, it's a shame that he's already 34.

You have no soul if don't enjoy a Hideo Tokoro performance, win or lose. He always go hard.

Gono fought very well. Much props to him.

Very close fight between KID and Kanehara. Kanehara looked damn good and continues his mettle as Sengoku's FW champion.

KID is a shell of his former self right now. He doesn't have his explosiveness, looked sloppy and timid striking . KID's legendary takedown defense was nowhere to be found and was completely outwrestled by Kanehara, no slouch but not exactly Joe Warren in regards to wrestling credentials. For as bad as I made it sound, this isn't a shameful loss for KID at all. Kanehara is a fringe top 10 FW.

Mach is frustrating as fuck to watch now. I think he's done. He's twice as lazy as Gomi (which says A LOT) and looked like he just came to collect the check. I REALLY REALLY REALLY want him to get back on track because he's too damn talented to be losing the way he has.

                          Dominance by Crusher.

A dominant performance by Aoki sullied by his antics afterward. No sane person would fly off the handle like that. I hope Kawajiri beats the piss out of him whenever that fight goes through. I wish Hirota a speedy recovery.

Minowaman by KO! Couldn't believe it if I never saw it. Soko's career as a legitimate LHW is done barring some superhuman transformation.

Jesus, 7 and a half hours of fighting to watch... I had to completely clear out my PVR to get it to record the thing.

Way to many early stoppages, weird to see that in Japan like that, let these guys fight!

Shibata got fucking robbed against Izumi. Under US round system, there should have been no way he should have lost. And when you judge it based on the whole fight, it should have been a draw AT WORST.

                                :pissed:
