+/- reflects more on the team then the player.

There's nothing intangible about a 6' 2" 210 lb middleman with accolades as the best player at the world's greatest international hockey competition and the world's greatest club hockey competition. Second youngest Stanley Cup winning captain of all time, youngest member of the Triple Gold Club. He's 22, has achieved everything that matters and isn't in someone's top 10 because he only scores just under 1 point per game in the regular season (1+ point per game in his playoff career mind you).
He's disciplined, kills penalties, plays on the powerplay and is one of the best faceoff men in the NHL too.
1. Crosby
2. Datsyuk
3. Toews
4. Malkin
5. Thornton
6. Sedin
7. Staal
8. Backstrom
9. Getzlaf

Datsyuk will never put up the same offensive production. Their close puck control skills are comparable, no one passes better than Crosby and Datsyuk's goalscoring instincts don't even warrant being compared. Defensively Datsyuk isunbelievable but we're not comparing him to Malkin; Crosby is not a liability in the slightest. The balance is firmly tipped in Crosby's favour.Comment

If you put Datsyuk in place of Crosby I can see his point production go up. Datsyuk is on a team where 50-70 points is good because 4-5 players can do it on our team. I'm not saying Datsyuk is better at all, I know Crosby is better, I just don't think he is loads better.Comment
