This is what i did as a preds fan. Im still not the most knowlegeable guy in the world but im learning as i go.

If you want to come to a preds game, if you could make it to a tuesday or thursday game those games have better tickets available for walkups.

All days have special tickets that go on sale cheaply on gameday you just have to go up to the box office and check.

Also aside from going to a preds game play NHL 11. I swear to God that game can teach you the rules of hockey, players, teams etc etc.

When I moved back to the States in 1996, I had only been exposed to field hockey, because in S.Asia, thats pretty huge. So when I saw my first Flyers game on TV, I understood some of the rules already while watching. Player soccer helped because some of the rules such as offsides were very similar.

But when I picked up NHL 98 a year later, I learned so much about a lot of players and how the position works in the game. Granted that game was very primitive and arcady, but it did the job as a great complement to reading and watching the game.

The way the video games are now, NHL 11 is pretty much playing hockey on the game system, its ridiculously realistic.

Also, following the Preds will give Herm some company ;) So great pick!
