I'm actually not defending CB. At least not intending to. I just disagree with the one logic of the one particular statement and find it ironic that you call others out for what you seem to be doing.

So if "gross exaggeration of the UFC money" is not trying to say that the UFC cannot afford to do, essentially, what they want when it comes to signing fighters, what was the point of the statement?

Does the UFC undepay guys? Absolutely. I wish every top level fighter in the UFC was getting $200-300k per fight, if not more, and that mid-level guys were getting paid enough that they didn't have to count on sponsor money to get by. And quite honestly, I wish the same of SF, as they underpay some guys too. Its the sport right now.

Carwin main evented the BIGGEST HW FIGHT IN UFC HISTORY for 40k

Stop worshipping Zuffa's money, it doesnt help the MMA fan at all
Yeah, Carwin walked away from that fight with 40k. Lol.

      Again, c'mon, you know better.

You know what doesn't help the MMA fan? Blind hatred of the #1 promotion in the world. Nobody here hates SF. Nobody here hates DREAM. Nobody here hates Bellator. Everybody here loves the sport, and just wants to enjoy fights. Everyone except ONE person - you. You are the only one here who "hates" anything. We all want to JUST BLEED, while YOU are the one wrapped up in brand names.

We want the old rob back, the heel turn didn't work, just like Austin back in 99.

That is the thing Rob is missing. I think SF needs to exist as it gives fighters a place to go and earn money. All credit to Hendo for getting paid.

However, to pretend that the UFC isn't the big leagues is delusional

I already explained it, I never said the UFC doesnt have money, I was pointing out they dont pay fighters and scoop up anyone they want, that has proven to be false over and over again

Then he can leave when his contract is up. Odds on that happening?

I would say good, same odds as Dan Henderson leaving, it's pretty much 50/50 for anyone without a championsip clause

again, did you have a point with this post, or are you praising zuffa's money again?

Besides Hendo, who else has left the UFC of late? By their own choosing and not being cut.

That's exactly it. Back in the day - MM days, I guess - Rob was my favorite MMA poster on the Interwebz. Not just MM, but anywhere, including The UG, Sherdog, et al. Insightful, logical, knowledgable, and even sometimes funny. The kind of poster who I actually looked forward to reading a new post on MMA from. The Rob here feels like a gimmick poster... He accuses everone of being a "Zuffa Zombie" and seeing the MMA world through UFC-tinted glasses... then proceeds to taint everyone of his posts with the exactly opposite tint. Now I read each post with the expectation to cringe at the heady anti-UFC sentiment that its going to carry. I'm not trying to call the man out... It just makes me a sad Papa Bear.

none that I can think off, just like I cant name anyone from Strikeforce that has left for the UFC like Shields did

We dont hear much about how many fights are left on a UFC guys contract

Strikeforce is re-signing guys a lot also like Lawler, Diaz, etc...

Wait til 2011 - its one of my New Year's resolutions to have at least two dozen MMA-related posts on here. Its aiming high, but its good to have goals.
