I cant ENJOY MMA like this, I dont think the fans enjoy it either when every show has complaints about reffing and judging

MMA is going down the same path as boxing because it is run like boxing by people who had there hand in boxing

The Fertitta's, the NSAC, the same judges, refs, etc...

Tough to enjoy a sport where the same people are in charge who fucked up another great sport

Anyway, welcome to 2005, larry. Like others have already mentioned, and I have been preaching since like 2001, more 10-10 and 10-8 scoring, and even 10-7.

10-10 : even round, impossible to call (judges fear this now)

10-9 : slight edge to one fighter (same as now)

10-8 : clear winner of a round (this currently gets a 10-9)

10-7 : severly one sided, nearly finished (what currently constitutes 10-8)

Judges are pressured to award rounds and not give 10-10's, thats a joke, because a judge can give two razor sharp rounds to one fighter, then the other fighter dominates round three and loses 29-28, when he should have won 30-29.

The Fertitas have mafia connections as well, so it really wouldn't be too surprising if something shady was going on. Not saying that fights are rigged, but they're a bit more buddy buddy than they put on.

Back to the scoring, 10-10 rounds definitely isn't the answer. In a 3 round fight you know how many draws that would create. It's lame enough that a fight is decided by three rounds, knocking it down to 2 would be even worse. More rounds is an absolute must.

10-10's would result in fairer decisions. As it stands, these judges are giving out 10-9's, even in rounds when nobody does anything. There are so many fights where a guy "wins" two rounds that should be 10-10, then loses the third conclusively, but "wins" the fight based on the two even rounds.

People shoudnt fear the draw, it would still be very infrequent, the 10-8's and 10-7's would take care of that. 10-9 for every round is what's killing scoring.

The biggest problem for the UFC right now, is the bad judging. Dana complains about it all the time, and distances himself from the process, constantly reminding people that they have no control of the judges or refs.
