Maybe it's just not my cup of tea. Actually, I know its not my cup of tea. It just does absolutely nothing for me. I give them credit because they know they can get away with doing next to nothing, because 70,000 people will eat it up anyway. So in that respect, it was well worked. Doesnt mean I have to like it. I was bored.
If the problem is that you already know the Undertaker isn't losing, I guess I can't help with that. Yes, it does take away from the match to an extent, but I knew HHH wasn't winning this match, but I wanted to see the story and how it played out anyway.

We all loved Chael Sonnen v. Anderson Silva, and they pretty much played that out in HHH v. Undertaker.

I know its not your cup of tea, so I won't gripe.

IMO, on one of the worst shows you could ever see, but HHH-Undertaker was pretty good.

I conceded that it was well worked in that regard. This is why I dont think HHH is a great worker. He works a slow style that is easy to do. Work towards finisher spots, do kickouts at 2.9. Ho hum. But it's over, so who am I to argue?

Anyway, I saw Trevor f'n Murdoch have a better match this week in NOAH. I wont highjack here. I'll post it later.

With a broken bodied Taker and HHH who has only wrestled 3 or 4 times in the past year...not sure how you would be happy with a match since they're certainly not doing a ROH match.

I'll admit, for about 3 seconds after HHH hit the tombstone....I was a little doubtful Taker would kick out.

I've always hated HHH matches. Tonight's was no exception.
HHH is an incredibly boring worker who is only in the main event because of his family ties.
The Undertaker must be pissed about tonight's match, because it doesn't even touch his last two by a freaking mile.
And I like how Undertaker wins and is carried out on a stretcher, but HHH walks away.
            Sorry. Not buying it.

I have an admitted bias against HHH. So I probably wouldnt have liked anything they've done.

I've never seen a HHH singles match that I liked, so my opinion is probably not fair. I'll back out of this.

The first part, yeah...he definitely held on too long, like I mentioned above.

As far as the other part, I disagree. The whole second half of the match was HHH killing Taker with everything he could. Hunter tells him to stay down, he keeps getting back up. Taker overcomes it all to force him to submit. And after it all, Taker's body has had enough and he needs to be helped out...because his body is shattered.

It's not like HHH stood over Taker after the fact or anything. He looked pissed off in the ring then left.

Definitely the best HHH match in years (probably since the Batista WM match or the Flair TV match).

Not even the Rumble match with Foley?

Undertaker creates lightening strikes with his magical powers and shit, and can rise from the fucking dead, but the mighty HHH pedigrees are enough to stretcher him.

He should have sat up zombie style, chokeslammed a stunned Trips, and said "19-0, motherfucker!"

You sir are clearly a HHH mark.

The match was fine, I'm not asking for my money back, but it was hardly great. It was a typical HHH match - boring. The only thing that made it interesting was HHH's kicking out of the tombstone and UT kicking out of the pedigree. Without those scripted moments, this was just another match.
Hell, even UT botched his yearly WM jumping through the ropes moment.
I don't begrudge him for it - he's rusty. But to call this an even remotely great match is ridiculous.

I am hardly a HHH mark, hell, I hate the guy, but I thoroughly enjoy both HHH-Undertaker matches. Nothing here quite got me like HHH bouncing a sledgehammer off 'Taker's dome in their first one, but whatever.

Taker botched that spot in the first HBK match and nearly killed himself. Might be time to retire that one.

Anyway, I though the first HBK match was far superior. I didnt see the second, so I cant say.

LMAO @ calling me a HHH mark.

I'm not a big fan of his but I recognize his good matches (though they've been few and far between in recent years).

Reading over the WON board, it's also love or hate it there. Interesting.

Wonder whether Taker will call it a career after this match...I assume he'll take time off and return later in the year or next year for his final match to go 20-0.
