Yeah, that's actually pretty accurate about the show as a whole being pretty ground based (besides the Morrison move, the Kingston move, Snooki and Undertaker's painful looking suicide dive).

They've definitely done a shit job of keeping their midcarders relevent and it's a shame. There's talent there but they don't get the time of day to rise up.

The only guys who have in recent years...Punk, Miz and Sheamus (although he's back down the card).

Punk and Miz got over RVD style. When no one wanted them over, they got themselves over by pure force and will power. The audience just ate these guys up and forced Vince and Co., regardless of their preconceived notions, to push them to the moon. The other guys though, pure force.

Sheamus is just HHH's friend...

Leading up, when I said it was going to be underrated or WOAT, I meant it, and it is why I didn't buy it, even though I actually was pretty hyped for the card.

It was the perfect opportunity for them to put over the next generation that are currently sitting around, squandering in the mid-card, and not a single fuckin one of them went over...not even Miz got over and he is/was the champ that ended the show.

I just knew this shit wasn't going to be good when I read they knocked Sheamus/Bryan to the curtain jerker match and it was filled with shenanigans. At that point, I realized it was going to be awful.

Then I saw Del Rio v. Edge and when I got that ending, I should have just stopped watching. You are building up Del Rio to be your champ, you even put him on first, so maybe you put over Del Rio while not taking away from the other two main event level matches, and nope...typical Edge match with junk Edge finish.

Maybe that is what happens when you put Del Rio with a bum like G-Rilla.

Edge will never be that over...ever. He's just not very good nor likable or hateable. He's alright...but he's been at the top of the card wayyyy too long and for him to be put over one of their next latin superstars is silly silly booking.

I don't mind HHH and Undertaker being put over...that is what that match was there for. Same with Snooki...they always put over their celebs, but damn, give Morrison and Ziggler the rub by carrying the match a little bit.

I get it, The Rock was your draw, but you use that draw to get over people that will be there for a while. Not necessarily Cena, but you devalued your premier talent, Miz, in the worst way. Epic intro, awful match, even worse post-match shenanigans.

The fucking champ coming out FIRST accompanied by ALEX RILEY.. was just hideous, especially after the epic intro video with Hate Me Now playing in the back.. all to put over Cena's AWFUL entrance. Then the fucking In Your House finish with the Rock was just absolutely TERRIBLE for a fucking Wrestlemania.

The Snooki match was NOTHING but a filler between HHH/Taker and Miz/Cena, I dont even think Ziggler or Morrison got in the ring at all, just brutal.

The show could've had some momentum to start if Del Rio went over, CLEAN to Edge. Start off by crowning a new world champ, gives your show a way better feel, not the dull shit everyone has seen already.

They thought not doing a MITB match was a good idea, it really wasnt.. all that mid level talent that were thrown into nothing should've been in a fucking clusterfuck 10 man ladder match, it would've EASILY been the best thing they did all night, while still likely being sloppy as fuck.

Just brutal, absolutely brutal. And with Vince trying to push this "dont say anything about wrestling anymore we're strictly an entertainment group, not wrestling", it was quite fitting that that went hand in hand with the worst Wrestlemania of all time.

13 is comparable since both are one match shows.

11 was worse, although BamBam v. LT was as good a celeb match as you'll ever see and it gets extra points for it.

9 was on par, but I find the novelty of it amusing. Two quality matches though in Michaels-Tatanka and Steiners-Headshrinkers.

13 was better.

Honestly, if not for Undertaker-Michaels, we are on a very poor downward trend of WrestleMania events. They just haven't been that good.

Nothing will ever top WM 17, but this one was easily the worst WM I have seen. Slap the Rock on it and it sells though.

The old WrestleMania's age really bad in regards to in-ring work (although, I find story telling and promo work by the top flight guys to transcend generations).

I think the best aged 'Mania's are the ones from the Attitude Era and the ones right after where Paul Heyman's Smackdown really shined. You have Jericho, Angle, Benoit, Eddie, etc. really just putting in strong work on those cards it transcends time.

I do not understand what the hell you think was so good about HHH/Taker, it was average at best. It was just HHH beating up Taker for majority of the match (legitimately too, by dropping dude on his fucking head), and was just a downright slow match, with a few nice spots and an "interesting" finish, ruined by post match theatrics that were unneeded. C'mon man. Just epically bad.

Taker-HHH will never, and I mean EVER be compared to Austin-Hart. That match is worth the price of admission alone for not just what it was, but what it meant for the business.

As for 21? You crazy.

Eddie v. Rey was the last time Rey was good.
First Money in the Bank match.
An average Undertaker-Orton match.
Angle-Michaels
A decent HHH/Batista match.

Two classics in the MitB and Angle-Michaels, a solid opener in Rey-Eddie, and some decent matches around it in HHH/Bats and Taker/Orton. You had junk there, too...but it was a strong card, 21.

The Pee Wee Herman segment was essential. And the Mae Young one too. Her sexual innuendos never get old.

I thought it was a relatively good Mania though. Hunter beat the fuck outta Taker, but at this point they not lettin Taker lose.

Watchin Cena is still painful. He hasnt improved at all. For annoying as the Miz is, he is better than Cena. That match was huuuge let down.

Thought the Randy Orton and CM Punk match was good, but could have been better. All in all, I havent watched WrestleMania in about 4 years, so i was entertained.

17 through about 23 were all pretty good and "worth the money" so to speak.

Although, 16 wasn't that bad either.

Most of that would be considered "after" the Attitude Era, I guess...so, you'd be right to call me out on it.
