Ive been watching UFC/MMA for a while now but I havent really paid too much attention to like the title holders and what not. Whats it mean when Lesner (Heavyweight Champion) faces Mir (Interim Champion).

I assume you are asking why there are technically two champions. Well, Randy Couture was the legit champion but he "retried" and got into a legal battle with the UFC. Since he had never lost the belt but it couldn't be defended, they had Tim Syliva and Antonio Nogueira fight for the "interim" title. Mir won it from Nog. Brock won the real HW title from Couture when he returned. So now they are unifying them.

How? When did Rashad ever have a performance like Shogun's against Forest or Coleman.. especially when coming into a new organization?

coming into a new org means nothing, it is the fight game, they paid Shogun great money to come to the UFC of his previous fight sucess so obviouslly his pride fights meant something

all of shoguns wins didnt disappear after he lost to forrest, beat coleman and chuck, in case you forgot, he beat coleman, he didnt lose

you are stuck in the 'what have you done in the UFC' mind frame which is wack

rashad actually chould have easily lost to tito, that was the first time in UFC history a point was deducted for grabbing the cage, the bisping fight is nothing to brag about, he got a shot because of putting chuck to sleep

shoguns career is as good as any LHW right now, you are putting to much weight into 1 loss and a win against coleman

2 atrocious performances and then KOing Chuck. Just not a great pre-req for getting a title shot in the deepest division in MMA IMO.

'Draw' with Tito who than lost to machida and hasnt fought since

Split Decision win over Bisping who than moved to MW

KO of a washed up Chuck

Shoguns last 3

Lost to Forrest who than won the title

Decision win over Coleman

KO over a washed up Chuck

Im not really arguing anything.. by process of elimination Shogun got the shot.. and thats the truth. Whether he deserves it or not is irrelevant cause hes got the shot.

Rashad looked NOWHERE near as bad as Shogun in those fights.. not even close. Not even you can deny that.
