Fast-rising heavyweight prospect Bobby Lashley (5-0 MMA, 1-0 SF), a former WWE and TNA "professional wrestler" who's posted an undefeated MMA record, is likely to earn a spot on the upcoming "Strikeforce: Nashville" event.

Sources close to the organization told MMAjunkie.com that Strikeforce officials plan to book the fighter for the April 17 card.

No opponent has been determined, though an announcement could come within the next week.

For the first time in nearly nine years, Renato "Babalu" Sobral (35-8) is Japan-bound.

The former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion and UFC contender has signed a multi-fight contract with DREAM and will participate in the promotion's upcoming light heavyweight tournament, which is set to begin May 30 at DREAM.15.

Richard Wilner, Sobral's attorney and manager, confirmed the news Wednesday with MMAjunkie.com and said the deal was done with Strikeforce's blessing.




Mousasi and Sokoudjou is rumored to have also joined.

So there is a Sergeant on my base who does the diet and prefight training schedules for Brian Stann and Jon Jones. The guy made the cut for last season of TUF but the Marine Corps denied him the 6 weeks of leave to film the show citing the poor character of many of the contestants.
