I'll never understand how there were 5 minute of stoppage time. A draw is okay, as it's what I would've taken coming into the game, but completely undeserved for Sunderland.
- match should have been over at halftime, I had a feeling we would regret not capitalising on all the chances we had (I'm looking at you Maxi in particular, at least get that shit on target)
- we still look very dodgy defending set pieces, the only time Everton was any sort of goal threat in the first half was from set pieces
- best 90 minutes of action from Nando all season, he played with fire, was going after everything and looked like he actually wanted to be their, hopefully this time he's back for good was a real shame he didn't get the goal he deserved today
- Dirk played well but he looked exhausted the last 15 minutes or so not sure why Kenny didn't bring Babel on
- having seen Everton's second goal a few times now, Kelly definitely took an elbow and I can't help but think that if Carra was out there instead of Kyrgiakos, Osman might not have got the ball to Beckford
- Kenny having a full week's prep with the squad seemed to make a difference imo, it's nice to see us playing positive, attacking football again
All in all while the final result was a bit of a letdown, I'm not too disappointed, no Stevie G and we seem to be moving in the right direction and as long as the team keeps playing with intent and a bit of heart, I'm happy to give KK some time to produce results.
