I don't really see us getting considerably better anytime soon. Sure we've got Jovanovic coming in next year, but we still need to strengthen our back line, and Rafa needs to figure out how to get Gerrard and Aquilani working together. We also still need to get someone to hold it down on the wings. I love Kuyt and I love Benayoun, but we need help if we're to win hardware. Same thing on the other side with Riera, although now it appears we're playing Maxi Rodriguez there.

Point is, Citeh has the cash to get better and improve. We don't. I also don't think Arsenal, Chelski, and Man U are going to sit idly by and not improve as well. I fully expect Citeh to leap frog us soon, very soon.

How wouldn't you get considerably better by signing the 'perfect understudy to Torres' (CB)?

Strengthen the back line? Wasn't signing Glen Johnson for £18m enough? Then there's Jamie Carragher, it's a shame he retired from international football and will miss out on not getting picked in the England squad this summer.

You have to love that City have only spent £200-300m for possible 4th place. No wonder the top 4 share like £1bn worth of debt.

Poor first half from Milan in terms of finishing. Huntelaar is ugly and hopeless. Milan's goal was fortunate, but I don't think it can compare to hitting your standing ginger leg, through a defender's legs and in off the post at 2mph - ridiculously lucky.

Is Wayne Rooney playing? Maybe they'll bring him on for the 2nd half.

First header from Rooney was good, second he couldn't really miss (unless he was Klaas Jan Huntelaar). Good ball in from Fletcher for the 2nd Rooney goal.

Disappointing game from Milan's point of view considering they had the chances to bury the game in the 1st half. Anyone else think that was a foul by Rio in the first half on the edge/inside the box?

Didn't know you were a Liverpool fan Heels. I consider my self more of a casual soccer fan mostly because I don't know very much about it but Liverpool is my favorite club team.

I wouldn't have given a card, I'm not a big fan of situation yellows unless it's last man back, or blatantly taking away a scoring chance. I'd only give cards out if they were bad enough tackles, or a recurring them among a player.
