Not really. The Troubles are a fringe part of public perception of politics these days. People are far more interested in the progress of co-operation, as can be seen at Stormont. Most reasonable people in Ireland want to move forward.
As far as Scottish people are interested in this sectarian ignorance, The Troubles are not even a blip on the radar, and this stunt has been universally condemned.
Celtic never wore poppies on their kits until John Reid took over. He said that politics doesn't belong in Celtic Park, yet pulls shit like that?
As someone else said "i dont give a fuck what it represents it dont represent celtic so keep it out of celtic park".

Being the only SPL club without the poppy would be the political statement, so John Reid is just bringing Celtic into alignment with what's decent and proper. I don't give a fuck what someone else said, or if a few Irish people and wannabe Irish people think Celtic are their political allegiance. Celtic are a Scottish club supported by Scottish people who support Scottish and British troops.
I hate Gyan's dumb fucking dance, but Zenden doing it makes it all worth it.
