Watched the Liverpool-Arsenal game. I had taken a break from watching Liverpool, so now I don't know half the players on the team, and the people who I dislike (Lucas, Aurellio) are still playing.

Anyway, the first penalty was a penalty. I think the incidents prior to the second penalty probably had a lot to do with it. Eboue fouled Lucas at the edge of the box, then they get in a shoving match with both receiving cards. I think the ref wasn't going to cut Eboue any slack, so when he ran up the back of a diving Lucas, he felt the need to give a penalty. I don't think a penalty is given if the prior events did not occur.

Arsene's bitchiness was obviously heat-of-the-moment stuff, as was Dalglish's "piss off" comment. It should be a humorous talking point, nothing more.
