Nice move by Bayern to get Neuer. Quality keeper. Quite outstanding. Now I just hope he can leave Schalke in fine style by leading them to a Champions League win.

My guess is that the trophy wasn't "dropped". Ramos simply got too close to it, so the trophy decided to simulate by throwing itself to the turf. Diving FTL.

Steve Zakuani had his leg broken today by a ridiculous challenge similar to Ben Arfa's last year.

Sounders still won 1-0 even when they basically played like shit.

Can't watch that again. I saw it live and will forever cringe at it. Terrible fucking tackle.

What pissed me off is the constant "He's not a dirty guy, and doesn't have a mean bone in his body" shit that FSC kept spouting the entire night about Mullan. Ignoring the fact that he is one of the biggest offenders in the MLS.

That is one of the worst statements made after every bad tackle. Regardless of if that person is a dirty player or not, they still made that challenge. That's completely reckless behavior, and unacceptable. And like you said, not the first time Mullan's been suspended.

I'm sure Erik Wynalda thinks Nigel De Jong is a real nice guy as well, who would never mean to hurt anybody.

After Shawcross broke Ramsey's leg, I argued that the consequences of a tackle should matter and be taken into account with the punishment handed out. I was shouted down on several forums for the idea, with the standard response being that intent couldn't be proven and "these things happen in the sport". I still think its garbage. Why should the consequences of a poor decision come into play? It works that way in other sports and it works that way in real life.

Low scoring Frankfurt have got 1 goal and are holding on for dear life to keep this win over Bayern

Also, Schalke continues to prep for United by losing (currently) to FCK

Bayern just gang raped the ref after he didn't award a PK. Muller essentially moved the guys hand to the ball

Also, Frankfurt should be two clear after Gekas missed the easiest chance in teh world
