I didn't watch it either. Saw the extended highlights on sky sports though.

I don't have to spin anything, Archer was the one who told me it was a good game (until 2-0) and that the penalty for Werder's second was the kind of thing that happens every time in the box. According to Paul Merson on the highlights show "if you gave them everytime the scorelines would be 29-28."

But because Lucchini was on a 2nd yellow, he walked for giving the penalty away. Werder really shouldn't have conceded, they've made the away leg much more difficult for themselves.

Will Arsenal make a move for Shay Given already. How much longer do we have to put up with the human rooster (Almunia), and the Polack who likes to walk back to goal when free kicks are being taken (Fabiański).

Michael Dawson is absolutely brutal man
No idea how Young Boys got out 3-nil like that but at least we got it back though I'm not feeling that confident going to their stadium
at least we can get some of the guys that didnt play because of internationals back (Tom Huddlestone, Peter Crouch, Niko Kranjcar, etc)

Your getting Schwarzer from Fulham... eventually.

I'm hoping that if I ignore that it will go away. I think he is no better than Almunia.

I think he's been one of the more consistently solid goalies in the Premiership for a good 5+ years

I heard another Arsenal fan say this too, can't understand it. Almunia is a decent shop stopper, but can't judge a cross to save his life. Schwarzer is by no means a legend, but he's as solid as they come. Doesn't make too many mistakes and generally makes the saves not expected to be made. Still would rather have Given if I were you though.

listening to the EPL Podcast is pretty informative, nice hearing news on all the teams so I can at least kind of know what's going on haha

The only thing Schwarzer has better, is a media reputation.

Statistically speaking, Schwarzer's stats are no better than Almunia or Fabiański

                            Arsenal owning Blackpool.

But sorry, second week in a row in action, and I gotta say, Jack Wilshere, is not ready. His first touch is atrocious and he looks lost much of the time as to where to distribute. Too much running of play into the defense and then trying to find a pass off. Not to mention his error last week that gave the ball away to Ngog for the goal.

Every time I look up from my computer screen Arsenal have scored another.

                                Another disappointing performance from Everton.
