No, it was two deals, but it still worked out that way. You could simpyl just say
LA sent O'sullivan to Edmonton
Edmonton sent Cole to Carolina
Carolina sent Williams to LA

Thing is, they have no idea if it will actually go through or not, because it is a legal matter. You can't trade money for players, and basically that is what is going on.
