    Bruins did okay.

This leaves Byron Bitz, Matt Hunwick and Shane Hnidy kinda on the outside looking in come playoff time though.

i think there was more trades after 3pm than before.

as mediocre of a deadline this ended up being, there was what? close to 25 trades involving 40+ players?

        45 players
        21 picks
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

        "rammer" and "cummings"

The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.

No biggie there. I like Bitz and Hunwick, but I'd rather have the veteran Cup experience that Recchi and Montador bring in.

I'm assuming Recchi will probably be put on the Bergeron line with Kobasew, and Axelsson bumped down to the checking line with Yelle and Thornton, and I'm sure Recchi will be on the power play unit with Savard and Kessel as the left handed shot. I think this should strengthen our offense a little bit as we have three quality lines now.

Montreal had basically no cap to push with, and they needed a top centermen and with Jokenin going to Calgary, they basically missed the best one that was there.

We were ready to dump a couple players -- possibly even big names such as Kovalev or Price.

Halak has been playing incredibly the last few games, but we still look like a first-round exit team.
