One of VOW’s favorite guests “The Elegant Assassin” and St. Louis Anarchy writer/booker Pierre Abernahty returns to the show. This time around the guys chat St. Louis Anarchy’s Circus Maximum 2013, preview the full card, Darin Corbin’s injury and his status for the show and booking around injuries. They also delve into the Submission Squad’s return at the CHIKARA Tag World Grand Prix, the status of CHIKARA, St. Louis style-pizza, the Submission Impossible YouTube series and a bunch of listener questions. It’s a great listen as always, so check it out!

Magnus or Kazarian would be nice to get to the last 2/3 to establish them as on the cusp of stardom (or whatever TNA's equivalent to stardom is). Would love to see Daniels win it all, but if it hasn't happened already.....Abyss's shit character has no business in there. Aries and Joe would be great wire-to-wire winners. They already missed the boat on Hernandez and condemned him to Tag Team Purgatory. Roode suffers from every TNA main eventer's disease. They push him hard, he eventually wins the belt, he loses it, and their "creative" forgets about him and gives him nothing. Wouln't really gain a ton by winning anyway. Anderson, as noted, is shit. AJ shouldn't be in the BFG series, he should be champ, and everyone should want to avoid getting in the ring with him because he's the best in the world and a total loose cannon (royalties to Punk and Pillman in the mail).

If it were me, I'd have Morgan over Kazarian in the finals, getting them both over. But it's TNA so Jeff Hardy will win, because he sells drugs...oops, I mean merch. And he carries himself like a star, Brother!
Does Matt Morgan have something better going on for him in life? I would like to see him get a push, but he's never around in the first place. He lost to Sting, then you didn't see him for over a month. Then just randomly shows up.

AJ should probably win the BFG Series.

I'd like to see the give Magnus a legitimate push. I think it'd behoove them to give Jay Bradley some good wins in this thing and not be a bottom feeder. I'd like to see an Aries-Styles finale.

Knowing TNA they'll have Anderson win and then divide Aces & 8s

Why did Impact change AJ Styles theme?

TNA needs to chill on having Aces and 8's interfere in so many damn matches or participate in post-match run-ins. God damn, its fucking terrible.

A year ago, TNA, right around the beginning of the BFG Series was CRUISING to perhaps their best product ever...at least since Angle's debut...a year later...its like, "c'mon!" ... just terrible overall booking kills TNA.

While the booking is awful in TNA, the roster isn't making things any easier for the creative team. There's maybe a handful of guys on the entire roster that have even passable levels of charisma needed to make a good angle work. They need to blow the whole thing up and start from scratch

No, it really is the writers. They do add a lot of shit guys like Crimson who can't progress a storyline with mic work or mannerisms. But they have, and have had, a lot of guys with at least above average charisma. Daniels and Aries have unbelievable amounts of charisma alone. It all goes back to their lack of use of their guys. Their storylines are always shit and they never give guys anything of substance, nor do they let have fun with things.

It reminds me of the PCS, a long time ago. It was in the middle of the post-Joe/Styles/Angel X-division, and their whole division never got mic time. So each week we got a little segment with the help of Nash, and they pretty much all shined. Petey maybe not as much. But Sonjay did well, and I always thought he could play a decent goofball which goes great with his spot monkey skill set. Aries did awesome. Shelley did awesome, and has the most untapped charisma in wrestling. Lethal got the most out of it and eventually got a decent Black Machismo run out of it. Low Ki played the Dean Malenko straight-man. It all worked, and it was a group whose work outside the ring was their biggest question mark. All it needed was a little structure and a funny guy to work off of like Nash. They could absolutely re-create this success with a little creativity, but they've shown time and time again that they don't have that. They keep coming up with gang wars, fake pregnancies, and invasion angles. None of which gain any traction whatsoever.

If BFG was booked like a Japanese tournament, we'd see a guy like Jay Bradley fight valiantly and go like 1-9 but get over in the process. #boomstick

Agree but instead all of his matches will take place at house shows save for one horrible squash to Joseph Park on Impact
