You don't bust out that kind of move during a brawl after a main event of a free cable show especially on the go-home show to a PPV.

That'd be like having a Money in the Bank match main eventing Raw and saying "Wasn't THAT awesome, now go drop $50 to just see what you saw!"

That's how I feel with that RKO, if you establish that big time moves, big time matches, main events are on PPV people will buy. If you continue to give away top tier matches, top tier finishes, highlight reel stuff on free TV, there's absolutely no reason for someone to purchase a PPV because by and large they'll start to realize over time they'll get everything they'd get from a $50 WWE PPV on free TV.
Exactly.. when I grew up on wrestling everything lead up to the PPV and you expected to see the best shit happen on that PPV.. shit u just wouldnt see for free, which is why you'd buy the damn PPV. Now WWE hotshots EVERYTHING! Not just title reigns..

I HAD to buy Halloween Havoc 1998 because I was convinced Goldberg was going to lose via the Diamond Cutter out of the Jackhammer.

The minute Goldberg hit that steel post with his shoulder during the match, I was marking out like a bitch...

There really wasn't any other instance where I thought Goldberg was going to lose during his original "Streak."

That was the one. I told EVERYONE that he was losing it at Havoc. I had a bunch of friends come over to watch it. We were pretty much all convinced.

Since Uncle Vince effectively murdered the "Survivor Series" namebrand, we're getting a taste of the old school team format this upcoming Summerslam...

The Nexus is finally going to face up to a numbers game of their own as Cena's finally got a team of dudes to fight by his side.

                Not Yoshi Tatsu or Golddust...

No, Cena's assembled a team of rivals so great, it might be worth it to at least illegally pirate the PPV.

                Cena's tagging up with:

                R-Truth (Wassup?)

The Great Khali (holy shit that dude's HUGE)

Edge (Cena had to kill this guy in a TLC match in Canada just to get his belt back)

Chris Jericho (The 1st Undisputed Champion. He beat Austin and Rock in the same night to do it... Cena is a pussy compared to Jericho)

John Morrison (The Monday Night Delight, former ECW Champion and formerly one-half of the Greatest Tag Team of the 21st Century)

                Bret Hart ('nuff said)

Kane was awesome until he just got boring about a year after he took off the mask.

From the time he debuted in 98 through 2000 and maybe even 2001, he was great. Big dude who could work well enough as the Undertaker-esque monster and had the cool masks.

I've never been to a wrestling meet & greet before. I'm wondering what the standard procedure is. Do you have to buy something just to talk to the wrestlers or what?

Apparently Ric Flair is also going to be at the Meet and Greet at Collinsville and I really want to see him.

Don't get too excited. it's basically hand Ric Flair something to sign, he smiles, you ask like 2-3 questions take a picture and your out.

I talked to Jim Cornette for like a minute during a recent meet and greet.

I've never been to one either, but I've seen the ones they do at ROH shows. Generally, if its a big star, the line is outrageous and you should at least have something to be signed or be prepaired to buy a 8X10. The indy guys will usually hold a brief convo with fans or pose for a picture and shake you hand. It all depends on the talent. I would suspect Flair would require some type of purchase, and I doubt you'll get any sort of substantial conversation out of him.

I've seen Nigel McGuinness and Bryan Danielson spend a lot of time with people. At the Edison shows, the only bathroom is in the front lobby, so its not uncommon to have Necro Butcher in front of you on line, and Austin Aries taking a leak in the urinal next to you. Not the best time to mark out.

One minute with Jim Cornette is like a sick tease.

You should have invited him on your show, he might have agreed.

I know... It was awful. I'd talk to Cornette for days if I could.

After my minute, he had a 5 minute conversation about D'Lo Brown with one of my friends.

Flair doesn't require you to really buy anything but you need a ticket to get into the line and you have to have something to sign as well. You'll get a pic out of it and a sign but you won't be able to say anything more than "Big fan, Ric!"
