    Agree on both counts.
My mom died recently and I would have punched that fag in the face for any reference to my mom (I would have held back for the show, since it's sports entertainment).
And The Undertaker thing was beyond stupid.

Would have been cool if they took it in a different way (Lawler hits him, gets suspended, has to earn his way back and then ultimately gets to fight Cole at WM)...but I understand they want to keep them separated until WM when Lawler finally gets to whoop dat ass.

Kenny King vs. Chris Hero was pretty good.

Really looking forward to the iPPV this weekend.

I find it hilarious that whenever Gail Kim is actually booked in a match, she never really does anything and just when she's about to she always ends up taking some bump that removes her completely from the action.

Lawler should have snuffed Cole the instant he brought up his mother.
Cena's promo was shit...that dude can't put over shit, and its one thing to not put over a man in a match or no sell his shit in the ring, but he no sells everything...even in promos. Its like he always breaks kayfabe and basically laughs in the other guys face. That is probably my biggest gripe against Cena, he doesnt sell anything, and I'm not talking about in-ring stuff, at the most basic of levels in a promo. He doesn't sell it, his opponent, etc.

The 'Taker-HHH thing was good, IMO. The intro and countdown sucked...but the simple stare down with no words worked for me. I actually think they should have teased out a few weeks the idea that 'Taker is dismissing HHH as an opponent.

I also liked the Taker/HHH thing. Kind of hard not to know that HHH was coming back when they were advertising him for a MSG show here during Raw.

Pretty obvious that the Rock is going to be the special guest ref of the Miz/Cena match.

Don't mind Duggan going into the HOF.

I also find it hard to believe that the Lawler's mother thing wasn't cleared by him first, given how scripted the WWE is. I was a little less upset that they went there after realizing that.

I never understood Jim Duggan, or why people liked him. He always annoyed me, even as a kid. Total shit in the ring.

He was a King of the Ring, he won the FIRST EVER Royal Rumble, he beat cancer; put over Yokozuna as this giant, American-Killing monster (I think they described Duggan's injury after their match as a collapsed lung... that was UNHEARD of in the 90s as far as kayfabe went then); and I'm pretty sure he was a "Real American" before Hulk Hogan ever was.

Yes, he sucked balls in the ring due to only having a moveset consisting of chops, punchs, clothslines, kicks and the Almighty "3-point stance" shoulderblock finisher he had... BUT he's over forever.

Only Ric Flair, Hogan, Taker, Triple H (now), Austin, The Rock and Cena have that distinction as far as getting the crowd involved.

I'm not sure about that one. :smug2:

False. He didn't get that gimmick until the like, 1990, where he was basically fighting a new foreigner gimmick every week.

Duggan made his name back in the Mid-South and UCW when he was apart of the Rat Pack and later feuded with guys like Ted Dibiase and Terry Gordy. Back then is when he was pretty good.

He was actually rather shit in the WWF...but he was supposedly a strong worker on house shows and he was always one of the more popular mid-card guys...he was a likable guy.

                      Hated, hated, hated him.

Hated him as a 8-year old, hate him when I rewatch stuff. Never found any amount of redeeming value out of Duggan.

Admittedly, my personal Pro Wrestling knowledge stems for the early-90s and onward...

Happy to see that there's other VSNers to pick up the slack. :D

Although, I'd like to see Empire be more specific unless he's talking about Cena.

I never saw any but I've heard/read where Duggan was awesome as a worker in Mid South.

Duggan debuted in 87 in WWE and was pretty much the American dude from 88-onward.

And never did more than 4 moves.

                                Gay promos too.

                                Fuck Duggan.
