I hate these in-the-middle PPVs between Survivor Series and the Rumble and the Rumble and Mania...they are uneventful and in the grand scheme of things, pointless.

Nothing was done in this PPV that would have been any different if they simply had a random event the money after the Rumble.

The WWE Studio movies are meant for DVD releases.
They don't expect box office results for these turkeys.
They're simply meant for WWE fans who want to see their favourite sports entertainers in a movie.
Frankly, I'm not even sure why they even release them to theatres. No point.

didnt really know that since Cena's last few made the screen, or wont those by WWE studios? I know BIg Shows was a straight to DVD but I remember seeing a preview for HHH when I took my son to see a movie the week.

I think it was only released in 7 or so theaters.

They look to make their money back in DVD sales like dave said.

With that said, the previews looked god awful (as expected no doubt).

The Legendary film got the same treatment and went over $200,000 in theaters.

Knucklheads went straight to DVD.

WWE Films don't sell and that will always be a fact.

Uncle Vince's "stars" aren't Hogan or The Rock anymore where the character surpasses the show they're on.

Media blitzes from The Miz, Cena and a slew of others always emphasize that they work for the Pro-Wrestling industry and unless they make it a point to distance themselves from Uncle Vince, they will only be seen as the bums you see on TV.

EX: The Rock transcending being a Ring Rat to become a brand name action hero/kids movie star.
