Best a bit much, but he's been employed the longest and has a niche in the company as a pretty good announcer when given the chance.
Other guys from the last season include Mitch (Spirit Squad) who dated Torrie Wilson and is now in MMA plus Rodimer, the guy they thought could be a big star....but was the shits. He's out of the business entirely now.

Even comparing Matthews to Miz is laughable. Matthews is a decent fill in announcer, hes only used out of necessity due to lack of people to choose from.Comment

Sin Cara was said to be very nervous before his first WWE TV match last night with converting to the WWE style of wrestling. People backstage were very down on him and Primo after their match.Comment

Matthews was merely a fill-in till just recently, you know this. They hated Matt Striker and STILL went with him for so long until finally caving and adding Matthews, only bcus they had Booker there for "entertainment" to back him. And even then they still felt the need to add Cole. Matthews ranks low in the company in terms of value, thats for sure. Miz in invaluable at this point.Comment

Obviously the champ ranks higher than the #2 PBP guy. Just saying he has developed a decent niche in the promotion.
As for Miz, I wouldn't call him invaluable. He does what they want well. Unfortunately, he has regressed in the ring over the past year. He's great with the media too, no doubt.

So apparently 2 days ago Mark Copani (Muhammed Hassan) made his first wrestling appearance since that controversial Smackdown 6 years ago.
He's only 31 years old, he had great charisma imo, and I feel like he was a solid wrestler. If I were the WWE I might look int0o maybe signing him back again, lord knows they could use some main event level right now, and that's just where he was, fighting the Undertaker at the time.
I always thought it was such a shame/waste of talent to have him get cut off like that when he was hot, then sucked that he wanted to try and do the acting thing, hopefully he gets back into the ring more regularly though now.Comment

That guy was so over ... and a decent worker.
Hell, they could have him come back as himself and say the WWE sucked for giving him that character.
I can't deny I marked out a bit when Hulk Hogan kicked his ass in that Wrestlemania (I never remember the numbers past 6).My Twitch video link: http://www.twitch.tv/dave374000

Hassan was fucking great, McMahon's racism ruined dude. He wasnt even Middle Eastern and played the character tremendously.Comment

Muhammad Hassan was great.
Then Michael Hayes had to have him have a fleet of terrorists to help kill the Undertaker and that was that. Hassan was great though.Comment

The only difference this time was the network wanting Muhummad Hassan off the air.
McMahon wasn't being a racist, he was being a capitalist.
And Copani quit the business completely after the network forced him off the air. He never returned in any capacity until now. You can't blame McMahon for that.My Twitch video link: http://www.twitch.tv/dave374000

What was racist? McMahon wanted a Middle East villain and Copani filled the role. It was no more racist than when Sgt. Slaughter played that kind of villain, and no more racist when The Iron Sheik was a top heel.

I thought the best part of the act was Davairi and his arabic rambling.
They dropped the ball with Davairi as Khali's manager/mouthpiece. The guy is a great talker, and takes awesome bumps, which for Khali is important on both counts. The babyface can shine by beating the shit out of Davairi since Khali is a big useless piece of shit.Comment

Hell he could use the being banned from TV as part of his character, i.e. show how anti-foreign the u.s. / wwe is because of how they treated him and make it a shoot-type character.
Then sign Prince Mustafa Ali and have them wreck havoc....okay, maybe I went too far into Extreme Warfare Revenge mode there. But I always would sign Hassan and use him as one of my top heels.Comment
