Honestly, I hope the WWE doesn't sign them. Zero faith the WWE makes any good use of them and it would really hurt the indy scene at the moment.

Saw the Aries TNA match. He actually looked really good.

Selfishly, I don't want them to sign either. But good for them if they do.

What's the best guess as to what's been wrong with Nigel's health these past couple years?

My guess is Hepatitis. His situation sounds eerily too similar to Aleks Emelianenko.

My god Raw was shit this week....3 hours of shit.

They did the whole fan voting shtick which was complete bullshit.

-To decide who fights Bourne....Batista Jr. won over Swagger AND SIN FUCKING CARA.

-Fan voting was for 2/3 falls between Ziggler and Kofi for the US strap. They split the first two and then Kofi wins the third by DQ...but they rule title doesn't change hands b/c of the DQ.

The fuck? it was 2/3 falls, Kofi won 2 falls so he should've been awarded the belt.

                ------

Punk did announce on TV his "last day" with the company would be the MITB PPV next month when he fights Cena for the belt.

Would be cool if it turned out Punk signed an extension and they do a Summer of Punk, WWE style (build it up to Summer Slam where Cena gets it back).

I was really stunned when CM Punk announced his contract was up. I can't remember that ever happening in the WWE/WWF before. Of course it means he's already signed a new deal, but it was a cool move.

Lmao @ the backfiring of the fans "picking" Mason Ryan over the obvious Sin Cara vs Evan Bourne match.

It's silly that they refused to have the pair of babyfaces go at it...especially since they had Bourne lose anyway.

Nobody gives a fuck about Mason (during the match, the crowd chanted Batista) and his goofiness. Why sacrifice Bourne anyway, couldn't have done something similar with anyone else?

They destroyed Mason Ryan the night they had him acquiesce to the whole Nexus Jr. thing.

That R-Truth/SuperCena match at CP was bullshit.

When was the last time the WWE had a three-hour show that was actually worth a damn?

I kinda liked the ADR/Punk/Rey match, though.

Summer of Punk in the WWE? I'd be interested if they had the balls to go full tilt with it.

From Gabe Sapolsky's Facebook blog, talking about an idea for Bryan Danielson in TNA under Paul Heyman. This was back when Dragon was fired last summer and when Paul was talking with Dixie about taking over.

None of it happened, but the idea itself would have made money no doubt.

                            =====

You might have heard the new Paul Heyman interview from over the weekend where he revealed some of his plans if he went to TNA last summer, particularly with younger, new talent. I'll add something to that involving the man now known as Daniel Bryan in WWE. I was in the loop with Heyman about going to TNA. Now don't get me wrong, I wasn't about to give up Dragon Gate USA and EVOLVE, which are both very close to my heart, but I was going to figure out a way to possibly be involved with everything and even possibly tie in DGUSA and EVOLVE, but that's another subject for another time and was a long, long way from happening.

In the middle of all the TNA/Heyman talks, Bryan Danielson was fired by WWE last June. After Bryan called me, I immediately called Heyman and in just a little while Paul had a brilliant plan to make Bryan a star in TNA. It was a four parter:

                            1) Have Bryan debut a new submission and tap out EVERYONE in under a minute.

                            2) At the same time introduce a new, huge monster with a new high impact move and have him beat everyone quickly. I'm thinking Goldberg meets 911 here.

                            3) After 3-6 months, have Bryan and the monster collide and have Bryan tap him out in under a minute. This puts over the submission and Bryan like a million bucks. Have Bryan continue tapping people out. After a year or so, Bryan cuts a promo saying "I've tapped out everyone in this company..."

                            4) This all leads to Kurt Angle, after one year, coming out and confronting Bryan saying that he never tapped him out and that TNA is Angle's company. Bryan vs. Angle is on! Tell me that wouldn't sell some PPVs with that build up.

Instead, we were fortunate to have Bryan Danielson/Daniel Bryan for a nice run in both DGUSA and EVOLVE. He gave us some great matches in DGUSA against Shingo at "Enter The Dragon", YAMATO at "Untouchable 2010" and recent WWE signing Jon Moxley at "Way Of The Ronin". We happen to have just started a www.DGUSA.tv Weekly Special where all these DVDs are 25% off. Trust me, all these are worth going out of your way to see, especially if you are a Bryan fan.

We also had Bryan on two EVOLVE events before he returned full-time to WWE. He had hard-hitting, brutal matches against Bobby Fish at EVOLVE 4 and Munenori Sawa at EVOLVE 5. You can get both these DVDs at www.EVOLVEwrestling.com for just $25. Again, these are a must see, especially for all Bryan fans.

I don't know if Bryan would have signed with TNA, but I do think there was a window in June/early July of last year where he probably would have if Heyman and I went there. Now the window on everyone is slammed shut. Just another "what could have been."

Sounds a lot like the initial Taz push/build towards Sabu.

sidenote - lol@Gabe shamelessly schilling his DVD's. "Bryan had some great matches in DGUSA which coincidentally are 25% off!"

Seriously though, the Bobby Fish EVOLVE match is worth going out of your way for. And the Shingo match in DGUSA is a classic.

WWE trying to play it off as "Technical Difficulties" due to backlog of votes on the Diva's match (apparently he received 90% of the vote). Luckily enough, Bourne vs. Cara is happening next week on Raw. Hopefully with a good stipulation (ladder match anyone?) since it's Raw Roulette.

In light of unfortunate technical problems that definitively generated an inaccurate voting result in Evan Bourne's match during Raw: Power to the People, WWE is making it up to you, the WWE Universe, and Sin Cara, the Superstar whom you voted to have compete against Bourne, this Monday night in Sin City.
