PWG announced the details of this years BATTLE OF LOS ANGELES tournament.
One night only (for the first time ever), 8 Men, Saturday August 20.
Chris Hero vs. Willie Mack
El Generico vs. Claudio Castagnoli (setting up for Hero vs. CC?)
Eddie Edwards vs. Roderick Strong
Finlay vs. Kevin Steen (this should be awesome)
------
I was listening to one of Cabana's podcasts...he had Excalibur on (one of PWG's owners, former wrestler, now a PBP guy). He told a story that Kikutaro once told him that Inoki wanted to book him to fight Alistair Overeem in either an MMA fight or a kickboxing match, a shoot regardless. Despite being offered a lot of money to do it, Kikutaro declined and told Excalibur, "Inoki pay good money but me want to. ...me want to. ...live".
Haruka is easily better than Kelly Kelly and Velvet Sky.
I watched some of that event. It wasn't bad at all.
MMA fighter Mika Nagano has been trying her hand at pro wrestling occasionally, but she hasn't quite found her groove yet. She's still very green.
"Sometimes I just want to be with my family and watch movie and eat some popcorn. But when I step on the mat I know there is no other place I'd rather be." - Marcelo Garcia
Look at this card for the upcoming ICP Gathering of the Juggalos.

How the hell does King get away with doing all these independent shows?
He's always had a contract that allows him to do indy's (he continued to work Memphis pretty much throughout the past 15+ years). I assume he has a WWE talent contract but I believe his main deal is as an announcer which makes him an actual employee.
