Anybody going to be in Texas this week for WM or the other events going on? RoH is doing a show down there?

Not attending, just seeing if anyone else is going to WM this year. Went last year, and had a blast. Was thinking of going this year, just decided to save my money when I got a feel for the card. Didn't really intrigue me.

I'm going. Flying out at 5am on Wednesday. Hitting up the Friday ROH show, Wrestle Mania, Monday Night Raw, and the Astros-Cubs game next Tuesday. Should be a fun trip.

I've had plans in plans to go for months, and bought tickets as soon as they went on sale in about November. Back at that point, there was nothing set up with the card yet. If I had waited and based my decision on how the card looked, I probably woudn't be going. The card isn't great for a WM, in my opinion.

WM has always been more about the experience. I'd think the show will have a pretty good sized crowd, and you will be able to do everything else.

Though, judging from Bill Simmon's reactions to Houston as a site for the NBA All-Star game, it could be a bitch to get around

It is really about the experience.

Last year was pretty fun. I was really looking forward to the outside environment with WM (always loved it on the screen, great in person), the Ric Flair retirement match (was really fantastic and emotional live), and an Undertaker WM entrance.

I didn't see the RoH show, which sucked, but I couldn't get around to it...however, TNA was there and was promoting the shit out of their product.

It was a good time. With your schedule and the follow-up Raw event, it should be a good time, and even if the WM card sucked, I'd probably still go if I had that lineup of events.

Is Biss going to be around, I know that dude lives and promotes cards in the area.

Is W2BTD making his way down for the RoH show?

Sidenote...never met more odd-ball wrestling fans then I did at WrestleMania, just some real social misfits there...but it was fun. I've been to ECW shows a plenty back in the day, and those guys had some sense...there are some real weird cats at WM.

I'm definitely going for the experience. Same reason I went to NASCAR awhile back, though I do like wrestling quite a bit more than NASCAR racing. It should be a fun trip. I think we're going to be doing some of the tourist-y stuff around Houston as well. I just spent awhile printing mini-maps off Google. The technique has served me very well in every other major American city I've visited.

Biss is going to be at ROH, and W2BTD as well. So it should be quite the MM reunion. Of the three wrestling events I'm attending, I think the ROH show has me the most excited. KENTA, Nakajima, Danielson, McGuiness... Plus, I'm thinking we might actually see McGuiness drop the title to Jerry Lynn. Two of my favorites for Japan. If they had Kenta Kobashi coming in again (not going to happen, but I can dream), that would be so far better than WM for me...

As for the "unique" individuals, I expect that. Last time I went to a WWE house show was about six years ago, but some of the folks there were unreal. Just flat out strange. I expect this to be far worse in that regard.

W2B should be wearing an old faded Isaac Bruce jersey with his stained up Rams hat and his girl should be lethargic and fans herself with a newspaper. I'm not sure if he still has the long hair or not, but he definitely might.

I've been to a few WWE shows the past year in the area, and "interesting" is quite the appropriate word for the crowd there. I am hoping I can hold down the job I have now until next year to go to WM.

Anyone hear how Cena "challenged" Rock to a match at WM26? Of course, there is a better chance of me fucking Mickie James than there is Rock coming back to wrestle...but we can dream.

BTW, Larry, as in THE Larry? Long time no see, how have you been?

The only problem with the Battle Royal angle is that nobody knows who half the participants are other than [INSERT TITS HERE]... and Santino, while a classic joke character in his own right, he's the most over and not even in the match.

His mankini is just another kernel of truth to the above statement.

...oddly enough, TNA is in the same boat as no one gives a shit about their Women's Division either.

To be expected though since WWE doesn't really try to do much with the Divas other than tag matches here and there. Although anything that gets Mickie, Tiffany, Melina...hell, pretty much all of them, on my TV, is ok with me.

I wonder if anyone in the arena knew what he was talking about when he said he went to Jack Tunney. That's too old school for 90% of WWE's fanbase today.

I totally agree with seeing Mickie James, etc. on TV in the aspect of scantily-clad women rolling around in the ring is never a bad thing.

As for the Tunney reference... if anyone still gets it, they've watched Pro-Wrestling for a looooonnnnggg time.

I've still got a copy of WWF The Magazine with a printed foreword from the man.

Biggest surprise of the night- This guy:

                            ...just beat this guy:

...clean and legit with no help.

Considering that Cena's The company man and Uncle Vince's money machine (not to mention is booked as somewhat of a super-man), this is HUGE.

Another thing to note from tonight's RAW:

The 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin montage featured not just some of the best moments in the man's career but also shots of Austin kicking a lot of now TNA wrestler ass.

Guys like Scott Steiner, Kevin Nash and Kurt Angle.

...it's not like Uncle Vince meant anything by it, I'm sure.

There hasn't been a pure heel that's gone over in a Wrestlemania title match since HHH did it at Wrestlemania 2000 and... Randy Orton at last year's Wrestlemania.

Triple H will win by virtue of being the righteous face in this feud unless he and Uncle Vince see him as The Guy to run with the ball.
