What sucks most is guys like Joe, Nigel and Daniels are getting the shaft.

That's the key... to make whatever role they play worthwhile, they need to put some talent over. And talent that needs it - not the likes of Angle or Styles. It looks like the Nasty Boys are jumping into a feud with Team 3-D, which is endlessly stupid in my opinion. The only reason the Nasty Boys are in TNA is because of their association with Hogan - they aren't legends, aren't considered by most as an all-time team, and never draw at all. Just proof that Hogan is still Hogan and still seems willing to put himself and his buddies ahead of the good of the company...
I like Morley (Venus). Always have. But I don't understand what his purpose is. He was decently over at one point, but he's not really a name at this point and never got "big". So I don't really think he's going to have much value in terms of putting someone over. And if he's going to be a regular.... No thanks. Again, I like him, but I would rather see the air time and matches he would get given to someone who can actually possibly help TNA in the long run. That was one of the biggest issues I had with with the live Monday night Impact... Instead of giving face time to the guys who should carry TNA into the next decade, they give it instead to the likes of Morley and the Nasty Boys... Stupidity...Comment

In regards to Joe, Nigel, etc.
I'm pretty sure we'll see more of this mid-card garbo...I think they'll push Styles for a minute before you see him drop the belt...probably to Angle...
And to be fair, I kind of agree...I mean, I love AJ...but I am not an average fan either...I can't see how anyone that is just tuning in to TNA would give a fuck about AJ. But who's fault is it that AJ isn't over? TNA had 3 dynamic, hot stars coming off a hot feud, and then booked all 3 into oblivion.
-AJ was dead the minute they booked him as Angle's goofy, childlike sidekick. DEAD.
-Joe at first was handled well, and had the great feud with Angle, but then was changed from determined killer to whining crybaby. DEAD. Not to mention weird tatoo face knife attacker Joe. DOUBLE DEAD.
-Daniels was was given a half dozen bad makeovers, including inexplicably stepping in for Kaz to save the Suicide character, when I can think of dozens of random indy guys who could have been used instead of pissing away a guy who might have gotten over.
The point is, nobody as dynamic and fresh as AJ was at one point should be thought of as just AJ. They pisssed away all the homegrown guys.Comment

Sadly, there's no where else to go for them except either back to the indies or to FCW for "retraining."
Just imagine Joe doing the "Main Event" style in a match with a Batista (3 minute squash match) or a Kane (Kane will put anyone over but still...)Comment

The Miz is indeed awesome. Hated the guy when he was apart of M&M, but as a solo guy, his annoyingness has grown on me and whether you like him or not, the guy has tremendous mic skills. Very good promo with MVP there, nice to see a good feud building up with some different guys.

I dunno if I should be impressed or a little off-put by MVP's quick change in the middle of the whole promo when Miz brings up MVP's criminal past with MVP switching gears so quickly to how he became an animal fighting other animals inside the pen.
I'm going with the former seeing as most stiffs on the mic (SEE: Jack Swagger) just repeat one catch phrase over and over to get heat from the crowd with no real payoff.
It's like one of those dolls with the pull string in the back that makes it talk... two, three phrases tops and then unless it comes with other cool stuff, it's useless.
Luckily Swagger can work Power-Style to go with his amateur background.Comment

Tyson throws a great worked punch.

Must say I agree about the Miz promo. I liked him as part of MNM but really wasn't sure he could be a solo star. He's slowly grown on me. That felt like a genuine promo. Not something from the minds of a bunch of writers, but they two workers themselves. If so, I really wish they would do that more. Let the guys who can talk... talk...Comment

There was some passion in that promo, on both sides. That's why the segment was so good, and ended up getting over so well.
I'm sure it was scripted, but it was an old school type promo because of the realism that came across from both guys.
The Miz is blowing right past Morrison and becoming a star. Who would have thought that would have happened? The Morrison face turn was a mistake. He's a natural heel.Comment
