There was a certain pleasure in simply once again deleting Impact off my PVR unwatched...

The most amusing part of TNA to me at the moment is the way that TNA-philes on other sites try to spin everything into positives. How Immortal clearly isn't an NWO ripoff since its not absolutely identical to NWO in every way. Or how its fantastic that Impact this week featured more than 12 minutes of wresltling, since last week's didn't. Or how great of a company they are and how much they care, since they allowed Nigel McGuiness to take time off from his comedy jobber role to heal up... even though TNA pays by appearance so he's not getting anything from them for the time anyway.

I don't even bother pointing out the flaws in their logic at this point. Or post the myriad of articles that talk about how poorly TNA pay some of their talent, especially the Knockouts. Like Madison Rayne - the Knockouts champion at the time - reportedly missing house shows because she couldn't afford to travel. Or Taylor Wilde having a day job at a Sunglasses Hut when she was Knockouts champion. But yes, TNA care...

The sad part is, Desmond Wolfe was hot hot hot as a heel before they just decided to job him out, get him out of the hottest group they had at the time, and send him to Xplosion, or whatever their youtube show is called teaming with another cast away in Brutus Magnus (what a terrible name for a British wrestler).

The guy was great in ring, had good mic work and had a valet that was hot...yet, they made him into the chicks cuckold man and then to youtube.

Sad.

Microcosm of what is wrong with TNA.

At least when WCW and WWF were taking ECW talents, they featured the hell out of them. The WWE is doing that now with ROH guys like Danielson and Punk...TNA used to...now, they don't. Gave Daniels the boot. Joe is a bum they missed the boat on. Nigel is a job squad member. Turrible.

HE is the US champ and they had him beat one of their top guys.

They should have never gotten rid of ECW. They should have just namedi t NXT and moved on.

It gave guys like Punk, Morrison, Miz, etc a chance to showcase themselves on a C show with television. Was a natural step up from FCW/OVW.

Danielson would be running shizz on there.

However, now, he is their champ and getting a good amount of face time. It'll come in time, hopefully, where he is a serious featured wrestler.

I don't know. They've tried really hard to bury him.

He lost every match on NXT, and was still the most over guy. People chanted his name when he was gone, and he was over when he came back. They had Sheamus squash him, basically to tell everyone that he wasnt at that level, and they still react to him.

But yeah, if they keep presenting him as a goofy dork, it will eventually kill him dead. Which is probably what will happen.

That's what I mean, you can have the internet fans scream for him all you want but there's going to come a time when Vince is going to say that nobody is reacting to him, job him and he'll just continue being a goofy dork with no direction.

They've essentially rendered his title worthless, so that'd be the first step to get him truly over. Plus he's a guy who if given more than 1 minute to have a match can get himself over... but as we've always said that's about the biggest sin in WWE is getting yourself over.

I really don't know what to think of how the WWE has treated Danielson. Its been so inconsistent. Like W2B said, he's been near-buried at times. And yet, they brought him back for a big match at Summer Slam where he got to look good, gave him back to back wins on PPV, and he did get to look pretty good in the rematch against Sheamus (after getting squashed the week prior). He's been face-time on TV on a pretty consistent basis on he gets to look good often enough. Its been so hard to read. He does have the ability to make opponents look good, and while match quality means less in the WWE than ever before, that alone gives him value in helping get other talent. It would suck to see him get stuck in that role in the WWE, but if it keeps him in the WWE and on TV on a regular basis.......

As for Santino, Kev, the guy is probably the most consistently entertaining guy in the WWE anymore. He's a joke and is unlikely to get a real push anytime soon, but he's still on TV regularly and getting pops. Its almost like his ability to be consistently amusing has limited what they've allowed him to do as a wrestler... If the WWE still used managers, he would do fantastic at it.

With this ROH guys coming on board...they use the same f'n formula...small push to start, give'em a title or something, then do everything in their power to bury the fuck out them...yet, if they can still get pops...like Punk, like Sydal, they are good to go. Or, they can be like Colt Cabana and get the boot because they can't get over.

Heck, they do this same thing with guys like Sheamus and Swagga.
