The gang beatdowns mean nothing with the exception of 2 factors....1) you know who the fuckers are and why they're fucking people up (nWo, the beginning of Nexus, CZW in the ROH feud) or 2) they have a leader you care about watching.

Besides, when they attack guys in the ring...why the fuck doesn't the whole locker room spill out and mess 'em up? One more reason the ROH/CZW deal was awesome (those things were almost always logical).

Maybe they dont care. Bully Ray has made it known that he doesnt give two shits about the Aces & 8s because beating them up doesnt give him points in the BFG series. I dont think its much of a stretch that the rest of the BFG guys feel the same.
