Yeah, why on earth would you want that guy holding your title and main eventing your shows? Let's go with Chance Prophet & Biggie Bigs.
I haven't read too much on this...cliff notes?

    From what I gather...

Adam Pearce and Colt Cabana had a match...the NWA didn't "sanction it" for a title match...Colt wins...Adam Pearce is pissed...tells Colt to take the title...Colt doesn't want it...neither guy wants the belt, so Pearce drops the NWA title...

Sounds like a work that no one cares about.

-Colt & Pearce do a seven match series for the title. It draws pretty well everywhere and was scheduled to wrap up in Australia this weekend.

-Following match #6, Torbich leaves the NWA, Tharpe takes over.

-New people in charge decide they don't want to book Cabana as champ, and refuse to sanction Match #7 as a title match. This throws off the old booking plan, which was for Pearce to lose, leave the NWA/"retire" (that was his stip when this thing started), and put over Cabana as the new champ.

-Cabana subtly buries the NWA on his podcast.

-Cabana wins the match, buries the NWA again, tosses the belt away and refuses to accept it from Pearce, who cut a promo and handed it to Cabana telling him he deserved it no matter what the NWA says.

-Pearce & Cabana are no longer associated with the NWA.

My question for Tharpe would be why on earth they wouldn't want to get behind Cabana. Taking a look at that list of 8 guys they came up with for the match to fill the vacant title, clearly Cabana would be best for business. He's probably the top unaccounted for indie guy right now.

If I was Colt Cabana, why would I want to be associated with the NWA?

Just looking this up...Colt and Pearce had a 7 match series, but swapped the title with each fall?

        wut?

Because they have a million mark affiliates all over the place who will book you with a steady stream of work?

A better question, is why wouldn't the NWA bend over backwards to keep a guy with such a massive twitter & podcast following around?

It is entirely possible the new guys like Cabana, but Cabana doesn't like them, but the story going around at least is that the new NWA wasn't interested in his services and/or having him as their champion.

The Pearce facebook post was not negative towards the NWA, fwiw. He even said something nice about the new brain trust.

I wonder if Colt will address this on Wednesday on his pod.

Maybe Colt is on his way back to WWE (something Punk hinted at not too long ago), and told these guys not to give him the title. But if that was the case, why not just book him to win as planned, then drop it to whatever geek ends up winning that 8-man match? And why have him bury the title in the process?

WWE officials were not happy at all with the crowd at Sunday night’s Hell In a Cell pay-per-view. The feeling was that the main event would have came off better on TV if the crowd would have been into it like officials expected.

Security at last night’s WWE Hell In a Cell pay-per-view were told to remove all signs related to Bill Goldberg. WWE officials were afraid the signs would encourage Goldberg chants since they were in Atlanta and Ryback was in the main event.

does this mean that the crowd will be de-pushed n put into the doghouse?

One time during a commercial break at a Smackdown taping at the Nassau Coliseum (around 2003ish), Heyman got on the mic and buried the crowd for being terrible.

You'd think if the crowd was shit, maybe the company would look at themselves as the reason.

Look, i'm not saying there is no such thing as a shit crowd, but 99% of the time it's because you aren't giving them enough to react to.

This reminds me of Vince complaining about the reviews for December to Dismember, when Heyman told him the show was terrible, and Vince was insisting otherwise. "It was a great show with a great finish". When they went over the horrendous show reviews the next day during the RAW production meeting, Vince was aghast, and steaming.

Considering he has never gotten a monster reaction, i'm not sure why they would expect otherwise. The pipe in noise on Smackdown when he wrestles like they do with the Divas and people like Primo.

This whole thing is turning into a debacle. I feel bad for Ryback to some extent, because the dude wasn't really over and the Cena injury may end up killing whatever momentum he was starting to build.

Well, that and failing to lift Tensai & Heyman.
