I don't know, it's just dumb and it bothers me. I'm over thinking this.

How about Antonio Cesaro, who picks the guy up and is about to kill him with a cool looking Gotch Piledriver...and then instead gently lays him down knees first with zero impact? That one kills me, too. I fucking HATE that move.

I use to get mad as a kid when Stone Cold would get up of a sleeper hold by doing a jawbreaker. Which is essentially exactly what a Stunner is.

I hate Cesaro's move because it requires way too much setup. Same with the Styles Clash

He should just use that awesome elbow as a finisher.

At the same time, I can see why Cesaro picked that move.

-It's safe, and WWE is the land of safe moves.
-It's something he can do to anybody, of any size. You aren't going to hit 'Riccola Bombs' on Big Show or Great Khali.
-It's easily reversible by use of back drop, which is key for the WWE main even style where they tease the finisher incessantly down the stretch.

I remember when people asked Daniel Bryan why he chose the Labell Lock instead of the Cattle Mutilation in the WWE. He basically said the front face lock looked better on TV, because with one hard camera shot you could see both mens faces, where as with the Cattle Mutilation, you have to switch cameras to see both guys. Personally I hate moves like the crossface/Labell lock/Gargano Escape/whatever it is that Cena does, because they look like shit and always look awkward & easy to escape. But that was very intelligent long term thinking by Bryan.

So after last night, is Alberto Del Rio a face or a heel? He's really just a waste of space for me right now

The idea of this giant dude with a fist the size of a concrete block being able to knock a dude out with it is a pretty good idea...its just booked like shit. I mean, I understand the idea of a punch being devastating when this giant bastard can cock back and launch it...its just...in a match, why isn't his punches booked better. He gets tons of clean shots throughout a match and a guy doesn't die. He gets a ton of bodyshots in and no ones ribs are busted. Its just booked like shit.

This is why punch is a silly finish. You can't book around something that is commonly done at any point in every match.

At least he doesn't use a bear hug. There is nothing worse than a bear hug in 2012.

The Neutralizer is no different than the Styles Clash...meh. Not my favorite finisher, but in WWE-land, it provides him the ability to show off his raw strength and the move is overly safe. No one will ever get hurt fro that thing, ever.

My issue is, he should DO the Ricola Bomb as part of his moveset. That move is taylor made for the WWE. With the audience yelling Ricola, it'd be great.

The submission finishers always look like shit because they are applied with the intent for the guy to keep moving around or reverse it as they whore out the finishers. A real STF hurts like a motherfucker. Labell Lock , the same. They are just loosely put on and the bad acting (especially Cena's...holy fuck, could you try and pull the guys head back instead of putting your forearms against his cheeks?).

At least the Styles Clash/Bisontennial looks cool, especially the AJ version where he seamlessly turns it into a pin. The Neutralizer looks like he's botching something.

The Neutralizer reminds me of when I would wrestle my little brothers when we were kids, and I would lift them up for something totally dangerous just to make them shit their pants, but then gently lay them down instead of paralyzing them.

The Neutralizer would be so much better as a piledriver but the WWE essentially put a ban on piledrivers when Steve Austin broke his neck
