I turn on Raw for 30 seconds and see Ziggler come out, MITB case in hand. I can't remember the last time something in wrestling jumped the shark so hard. It was a huge deal, and they ruined it. I think the Hardcore title is the last thing that came up and got a big reaction from fans, but the novelty wore off quickly. I think the MITB thing could still be going strong if not for having it have it's own PPV, a match for each brand, and teasing the cash-in like every other week to death.
