He's a high energy guy with a great entrance. Assuming he retains at least some of his great physique, he has a body that they find desirable. You would think since they are so desperate to find a new latin/kids star to replace Rey, and Sin Cara bombed, that they would leave the mask on one of these guys and give it a go.

And why would you want to sell a ton of masks? Can't work them backstage segments with a mask on.

Two New Japan notes...

-June iPPV is expected to sell out. Okada vs Makabe (a weak challenger) on top and only major match announced. Looks like Okada is having no problems as a draw, which was a concern when replacing Tanahashi on top.

-Tanahashi appears to be hurt. Not sure if it's an angle or not, but he's been taken off shows and it's said to be a back injury.

I don't think the LU-CHA! LU-CHA! LU-CHA! chant has been out of my head since I first saw it like two years ago.

This goofy spic coming out and doing the chant and the alternating points just got me to mark out for no reason at all.

Plus, he's got an epic mask...one of the best lucha masks of the new generation of luchadors. Love it.

And, any dude who can do a Canadian Destroyer after standing on a dude's back has to be elite level athletic and awesome.

I don't even understand the need or want to create a "new" Rey Mysterio...I just don't think its even possible...especially in the WWE bubble. I think Mistico proved that.
