Great Joey Ryan interview. Bryan Alvarez is hit or miss because he refuses to do research when he doesn't know about somebody, but since he knew a lot about Ryan he asked awesome questions.

I really liked the insight on Gut Check & how PWG ownership works. We've talked about this, but it's such a chill company that just stays in their lane and apparently makes good money since he noted that none of the six founders have ever contributed a single dime over the initial $500 each that they used to start it up.

    Good stuff.

I thought it was a really solid interview...rare for Alvarez. Joey just seems like a chill dude and in this interview, being pretty straight forward and transparent. He doesn't dance around anything. You can tell why PWG works from the business side if its just Joey Ryan and other like minded dudes running the company. Excalibur gives me that same vibe, where he's just a cool dude, chill, and PWG is just a place for wrestlers to come in, have fun, and make a few bucks as they don't take themselves seriously at all and they don't have ideas of grandeur. Just come in, give this always awesome crowd a good show, everyone gets paid, everyone is happy...everything just kind of feeds itself there.

So he yelled back.

Wrestling Road Diaries is a hell of a DVD. It's not the most exciting but it's genuineness is really it's charm.

I loved it. Haven't seen it since I first watched (probably last year if not longer, I forget), should check it out again.

                    - Expect a ROH vs. SCUM compilation DVD in the near future.
I'd like to meet the person who purchases this. I can't accept that anybody on earth is hyped about it.

I'd be lying if I said I wish Sheamus a speedy recovery.

                        BOOK IT

I don't mind Sheamus. He doesn't wow me, but in another era i'd like to have seen him as a big gaijin slugger in All Japan or something. He is hard hitting in a promotion where you don't get much of that. I'd like to see Sheamus/Lesnar, but Sheamus isn't a big enough star.

Sheamus isn't bad at all. He can actually go when they give him an opportunity. He's not your token big man in the WWE. He's kind of limited when he's main event'ing Smackdown or in a RAW match, but you get him in the mid-card with a good worker, and he tends to more than hold his own as the big hitter, even while getting his token WWE spots in. You check him out in a good 10-15m match in the middle of Smackdown and sometimes RAW or Main Event, he tends to have "sneaky good" matches.

He's fine. Just kind of there at this point. Not bad, not great. Good promo, not great. He's whatever to me. Don't wish ill will on him and I like him in the mid card.

He's basically on a treadmill since he's become a face (Tweener? He's a dick to everybody but he's cheered because he's a dick to heels).

If they hadn't of turned Ryback into a pussy, I'd match him up with Sheamus and have them beat the shit out of each other for a 3 PPV stretch.

Or with the whole resurgence ( I know better) of the Tag Division, pair him with another hoss that can go and just let them go Road Warriors for a while.

Basically, he's perfect if you need to plug somebody into a feud but like Larry said, you need someone to carry their end most of the time.
