I finally saw Ricochet live this weekend and it was awesome.

Rule of thumb, but in most cases if you can get over in front of 30, you can get over for 300, and get over for 3,000, and get over for 30,000.

All of those ROH guys from the early to mid aughts who were getting over on the indie scene, who people said were flawed and appealed to a niche, ended up getting over on TV at one point or another. Punk, Joe, Bryan, Cesaro, Aries, Rollins, Styles, McGuinness before he had his issues, all of them. Even Low Ki won the fucking NXT voting every week despite the company doing everything possible to make sure he wouldn't.

To be very fair...TNA cleaning house in the way they did was probably the smartest thing they could have done.

Not a single person on the entire roster makes any kind of dent in buys for PPVs, ratings, etc. Sure, you'll get the occasional ratings bump or a single show, but who cares.

Get rid of everyone, keep the ones you want on the cheap, and bring in an entire new group of talent to see if you can move up. As is, ratings haven't actually declined with the bare bones roster, so...no loss, really.
