Your typical hardcore MMA fan hates pro wrestling to the core.
Why? Who the fuck knows.
"Brock is turning the UFC into the WWE rawr this sucks"
Brock did nothing that Tito Ortiz and many others havent already done. In fact, Brock wasnt really doing pro wrestling at all, because he legit hates Mir, and it wasnt manufactured hate....the same pro wrestling manufactured hate everyone else in UFC does.
But he gets accused of being too "pro wrestling" for one reason-he used to be a pro wrestler. If that was any else cutting the same promo Saturday night, you don't hear the MMA elitists saying anything about WWE like behavior.
What the MMA elitists don't realise, is the sport basically is pro wrestling, just a non worked version. Fights are built the same way, its promoted the same way, the business model of the UFC in nearly identical to WWE, etc.Comment

Carwin & Couture have already stepped up and made quotes talking about beating the evil Lesnar, too. Everyone wants a piece.
And I think 99% of Brock's behavior was genuine, heat of the moment reaction. He was a legit angry man Saturday.
I've already said there is money in III. But definately not yet, not while this beatdown is fresh in peoples minds.Comment

I don't have a problem with it. I know pro wrestling is entertainment and have no problem with that.
If a guy wants to do both, all the power to them.
Frankly, I think Lesnar should do the same. Offer his services to the WWE for the odd PPV or just Wrestlemania.
It's win-win. The entertainer makes good cash, the fans get entertained, etc...
And any MMA fan should just accept it too. Lesnar or Lashley dabbling in pro wrestling is no different than them dabbling in Hollywood. It's just entertainment.
Even when guys like Ken lose over here people hint of work like they did when he lost to Franklin, the america sports public and media wont put up with it even though there are some questionable fights in the states

Wont work over here, even as much as I love MMA in Japan, the line is blurred to much between MMA and Pro Wrestling over there, the majority of the fights get questioned as being worked, just wont fly over here the same way

Iron Sheik, another guy born 30 or 40 years too early.
A very good amatuer wrestler, and behind the scenes a very respected shooter and locker room enforcer in his day. Would have been a very good MMA prospect in another era.Comment

Ted DiBiase would have been a great one in this era.
Arn Anderson too.My Twitch video link: http://www.twitch.tv/dave374000

What I meant, was Sheik is the type of guy who would have went into MMA if he was a young man today.Comment

Arn looked 40 when he was 20.

Arn looked 40 when he was 50.
Arn will look 40 when he's 60.
Arn would have never gone anywhere in today's scene, despite being a superlative promo guy and better than average worker. He isnt 6'4" 250, he was seemingly going bald from birth, and he dosen't have the TV look that Vince has conditioned his audience to accept as what a pro wrestler should look like.
The best comparison for Arn in this era would be Nick "Eugene" Dinsmore, or more obvious, CW Anderson.Comment
