Not sure where else to stick this... So apparently Alessandro Nesta is out of contract at AC Milan and has decided to leave. At 36, he's no longer an automatic first choice, especially with the development of Thaigo Silva into a world class center. Nesta was quite possibly the best center back in the world a few years ago. He's saying he would go to the MLS, which would be a pretty big get for the league.

If I'm talking about England or Europe I generally say football, MLS/US discussion I say soccer.

He was still quite handy against Barcelona. I assume if he came to MLS he'd be better than Marquez

I think his pace is mostly shot but he's always had great positioning, like a typical Italian defender. As long as he's protected to some degree, he should be a solid addition.

Germany is losing 2-0 to Switzerland. Low started a whole new back four, and Derdiyok is a talented striker, but not the expected result so far

Ended 5-3. Not sure how much to read in to the game considering all the bayern players were out. Probably would of liked to see some better defensive organization

Went to the USA/Scotland International friendly tonight in Jacksonville for my 26th birthday.

3 goals in the first 12 minutes was unexcepted. Bradley's goal was a sight to see, still need to watch the highlight of that. Scotland played pretty poor defense in the 2nd half. After the quick 2-0 lead they got it together. 44,000 people showed up and Scotland's fan base had a huge turnout. Was a great experience for my first soccer game.

Paul Lambert is also apparently going to Villa Both of last seasons surprise managers jump at the first chance to go to a bunch of entitled former powers. Too bad, was really hoping both could build on this year, but now they'll be stuck with Steve Bruce

United and Chevy agreed a 5 year partnership today. United is saying bye bye to Audi, and hello to the peez who make my car.

Whispers are, and they may be wrong, but not by much is, Audi deal was worth 1.5-2 mil per year. And this new deal is supposedly 3.5-4 mil per year. Damn.
