Playing Kroos instead of Reus or Muller was a mistake. Removed a lot of the movement that Germany relies on and made Ozil more ineffectual

One of my best men is Italian, so I will pull for them. 3 titles in a row is damn impressive though so fair play to Spain if they win

Podolski has a fair case, can't be mad at him for that.

Podolski... The player who speaks mainly Polish, married a Polish woman, and lives in Poland during the offseason, who wanted to play for Poland, until the coach at the time said "I'm not interested in a forward who had a couple good games in Germany."

Podolski is the biggest fuck up Polish soccer has ever made.

It's impossible to watch a Germany game in my household without bring up Podolski and Klose. To be fair, Klose didn't want to play for Poland since he had a German passport and thought he'd get an invite to the German team.

Half the German team isn't German... Ozil and Khedira are half Turkish, Mario Gomez is half Spanish, Jerome Boateng is half Ghanian. We've already mentioned Klose and Podolski. That's like 90% of their starting 11.

                          So?

Those first four you mentioned were also all born in Germany, where they have lived their entire lives while coming up through the youth ranks of their clubs and playing for the various German Youth National Teams.

You telling me they shouldn't be playing for the Germany? That's like saying Ashley Cole isn't English or Zidane isn't French.

Podolski and Klose (Whos Father is German) also lived the majority of their lives in Germany, and have been playing for German clubs since the ages of 6 and 9 respectively. Poland only showed interest in them when they became names, Germany was the ones footing the ball and developing them from when they first began kicking the ball around, they have every right to reap the benefits.

Whenever I have to watch the German team with my German friends, I just love saying "I love some of these strong German names, like Gomez, Ozil, and Podolski"
