Yes.
I went back and did the research one time, and was going to make an article out of it but then the Zuffa purchase happened so it became pointless, but something like 70% of all title fights in the history of SF featured a participant coming off of a loss, ND, or draw, lol.
I was very critical of SF for that back then, just like i'm critical of UFC for doing it now. With that said, I completely understand why these things are done. Especially in the case of the old SF where making the best fight was very important, especially for CBS. It doesn't mean as a fight fan that I have to like it. The Belfort fight, for instance, had no business being a title fight. That's a joke and cheapens the title. But at the end of the day, none of that really matters and these companies are going to make the best fight for business that they can.
I think Bellator will eventually have to adapt, and at least give title shots to guys who win "Superfights" over the champs. Yes, it means they effectively have to beat the champion twice, but, the other option is to beat three men in a tournament.Comment

I'm dead serious. If anyone can bring some life and excitement (ratings) back into this dead series it's Chael Sonnen. The numbers for this should definitely be their best in years. Plus, it'll lead to a very interesting fight, I still think Dan has gotten jipped, but this is a solid fight.

That was one of the best and most professional seasons of TUF yet, largely due to how well and serious Chael was about coaching. That decision paid off for the series.Comment

Pro tip regarding UFC (if you fuds didn't know)
Get a VPN service to a country like Germany, watch UFC PPV for free. The event (and some others) are streamed for free in that country, you just need to route from a German IP and you don't have to pay for shit.
Also, I can't believe people pay to watch that boring crap.Comment

streams are always iffy, even from the UFC. Plus, if you want anything to grow, whether it be sports or whatever - you have to support it.Comment

Boggles my mind you think it's ok for UFC to charge you a ton while they give it away for free to other countries, but that's your problem I guess.Comment
