What He's Up To - A former two-time FCW champion, went through a bit of a re-packaging a little over a year ago. He went from token muscle bound meathead to this South African big game hunter gimmick and its been for the best. He's had a ton of really good matches with Justin Gabriel and has been played with a bit in regards to putting him in strong angles. He's at a bit of a crossroads with no real program at the moment.
Look/Physical Presence: 4
- Really unique look with his current gimmick. Big dude, too. Has a very interesting presence about him.
Promo Ability/Charisma: 1
- Here is Kruger's biggest knock...its not that he can't talk...he just talks with this really awful South African dialect that's low in tone, lispy, and honestly, it just doesn't work. He is supposed to be this insanely menancing crazy character, and he shows all of that in look, but when he talks...just doesn't work.
In-ring Ability: 3
- He's pretty decent in the ring. He's had a ton of good matches in NXT, mostly against Justin Gabriel, but in tag team work as well.
Overall: 8/15
- If this was the 80's or early 90's, you could slap a manager on him and he'd have a rocket ship put on his back as a contender for a title. As is, he is perfect manager fodder. If the WWE actually used managers other than Paul E., this guy would be a perfect threat to use with one of them. He's got a lot to like, I just don't know if he can maintain a run with the way the WWE books talent. He's good though, and I enjoy his matches in NXT. He has a cool character, too, just not sure he can get over with the way he talks.
Is He Ready? I think he's gotten about as far as he can in NXT. He's been in NXT/FCW for around three years, was the FCW champion, has done a ton in NXT, working with a lot of different talent. The only thing left for him, in my opinion, is putting him together with the right manager and letting him run with this good character.
