Great match. This will come out wrong, but its overhyped. MOTY talk is insane. Not even best NXT match of the year. Wouldnt make G1 top ten. Wouldn't make my top 20 if I did one. But a great match. Top ten some years, not this year. Not even a top ten match this month.

In my official rankings...it got a ****-. It wasn't the best NXT match this year. I liked Ohno/Regal better.

If I am looking at my WWE MotYC...its in the bottom half of the Top 10, I'd wager.

I really liked the match.

But think about this, to show how great wrestling is lately. Cesaro/Zayn isn't one of the ten best matches i've seen this month.

Punk/Lesnar @ SummerSlam
Punk/Undertaker @ WrestleMania
Punk/Jericho @ Payback
Shield/Team Hell No and Ryback @ TLC
Cena/Bryan @ SummerSlam
Regal/Ohno @ NXT

Are all better off the top of my head. That would put it at 8 at best. And, there were some very good TV matches that aren't coming to mind right away that were really good that had some mix of Punk/Bryan/Jericho/Other that were all quite good as well.

There was a really good Daniel Bryan match on RAW also. I think against Jericho

Some really epic spots in that match. Watching most of it I was saying "I dont really see the hype", but the last 5 mins or so are some top notch stuff. The final spot was really intense, sold perfectly by both men.

One of the best finishing stretches i've seen this year, and I watched every G1 match so that's saying something.

Generico even broke out the between the turnbuckles DDT.

With the promotions of some of the top guys in NXT, they are giving some guys that fell through the cracks while Rollins/Reigns/Amborse, Wyatt Family, Big E, et al were at the top of NXT. Guys like Mike Dalton (now Tyler Breeze), CJ Parker, Rick Victor, LeFort/Dawson/Dylan, Xavier Woods (to be fair, he was working on his degree most of the time), et al are getting a chance to see if they got anything at this point while they are re-shuffling the deck and waiting on other Indy talents come join the mix.

From a few people that were at the NXT taping, it seems the Sami Zayn v. Antonio Cesaro Best of Three Falls Match was cut by upwards of 10 minutes when they went to commercial.

Perhaps that is one of the reasons why those of us who just watched it thought it was slightly overhyped.
