    streamin4lyfe.

Wonder if the NHL will do some kind of promo for their online service as part of the expected goodwill towards the fans. Although doesn't avoid the blackout issues for Toronto and Playoff games...so...

      My issues are this:

      1. Blackouts will hit me bad. The only leaf games I'll get is saturdays since games on the other networks will be blacked out on center ice ect.

      2. Streaming means more money. I already pay a shit ton for internet and with the caps in place I am constantly going over just based off normal usage.

      3. Playoffs are an issue since random blackouts happen constantly.

WTF you must have a ton of porn stored. I stream a couple hundred hours of content to no real damage to my cap. Regardless if streaming means more money...is it the same money as cable?

If it's nationally televised in Canada, it's blacked out, which means all playoff games. Already been down that road with them. Seems like you have no choice.

My cap is 125GB and that easily gets eaten up with 3 guys using netflix and watching hours of youtube. I've manage to stop people from torrenting since its retarded anyways.

            ROFL cable company trolling me

Me - "I'm calling to cancel the cancel I had on my cable tv at the end of Jan."
Cable company - "You still want leafstv and the NHL network with it right"
            Me - "..."
Cable company - "Your around the 50th person to surprisingly want cable tv this morning so it was a good guess since I could see your old package"

            Kudos cable dude.

LOL. Translation: WE GOT YOU BY THE BALLS HONKIE

Anyway, living in NY we get like 4-5 in-market games at a time on certain nights so it's pretty easy to follow a good portion of the league between that and the NBC Sports games. Gonna go all in on the ISLESWAGON this year since they are coming to my backyard eventually.

                    Yah no its not lol.

The worst thing that could happen to the jays now is if by some magic miracle the leafs make the playoffs this season. I would laugh on two fronts

You live 3 hours away, I live here.

That's why the Leafs fans photo'd on the front of the news today....were wearing jays hats. This city is a trendy hipster town, they follow the in thing and that's the Blue Jays, no doubt.

                            Well, I don't really give a shit

That being said, Yakupov and Nugent Hopkins played well at the World Jrs (and Nuge/Hall/Eberle/Shultz were doing well with the Barons), so I am a little bit excited to see them get back at it. Dubnyk played well at the Spengler Cup (not that anyone cared). Still not super sold on the defence, but I'm also not even sure who we have at this point

I doubt they will care that a guy from Houston unsubscribes to their package.

edit: I'll watch this season online.
Read online that DTV is going to charge $60 ($15/4 months) this year. I don't know if this will be the same price for those who are resubscribing. I already get a $10 credit from DTV, since they don't carry my local station that carries Houston Rockets Basketball (for 10 more months). Guess it's worth the $5 more to get to see the games on a big screen in HD.

Yakupov did what now? I thought he sucked during the tourney.
