He can connect with Brandon Prust to form 2/3ds of the slowest, most overpaid 3rd line in the league. I just hope someone decides he's a worthy rental for the rest of this season.

Wow. I don't follow hockey at all but that was incredible that Chicago managed to go that long without losing to open the season. They still have Patrick Kane? He's one of like 4 hockey players I know because our local radio station used to try to prank call his hotel room when they'd come to town.

The Hawks streak is impressive, but looking at Anaheim and how they have been able to keep up is impressive. With two games in hand, it is possible for them to just be 4 points back of the Hawks. They got Getzlaf signed, so just have to see what happens with Perry.

They've got plenty of cap room to give Perry 8MM a year while keeping Teemu and Koivu, but Perry might be a goner if they have a low internal budget.
