Looks like the avalanche's house cleaning has begun. Eric Lecroix a hockey ops guy and coach Sacco so far are gone. People are assuming more to come.
The front office has really been an issue there these last couple seasons. Some questionable trades, the handling of O'Reilly and even making Landeskog the captain have capped it off.

Colorado wins the draft lottery, moving from #2 to #1. They are for sure taking Seth Jones as they need defence more than forwards. Here is my pet peeve about GM's and the draft lottery.
First, I hate GM's who every year get the first pick and make the same comment. "[enter #1 prospects name] is a very good player, but we have a few names, and have a lot of work to do."
No, you fucking don't. Stop acting as if you are not going to take him. There is nothing to keep secret about, you pick first.
And then second, and just as bad, are those GM's who pick 5th or so, and always come back with "We had [enter player] ranked high, and if we would have had the first pick, we would have picked him in that spot."
Burke said this last year when the Leafs drafted Morgan Rielly. Seriously Burky, you would pass on Yakupov, Ryan Murray, Galchenyuk and Griffin Reinhart to take Morgan Rielly? That is just a save face statement, we all know it.

For those interested, the finals are all set in the CHL playoffs. The three winners will join the Saskatoon Blades in the memorial cup.
WHL: Edmonton Oil Kings vs Portland Winterhawks
OHL: Barrie Colts vs London Knights
QMJHL: Halifax Mooseheads vs Baie-Comeau Drakkar
Portland features #1 prospect Seth Jones, while Halifax is home to #2 and #3 Nathan Mackinnon and Jonathan Drouin. London is home to a slew of top prospects include Bo Horvort and Max Domi. Barrie is the home of Mark Scheifele of the Winnipeg Jets.
