Chikara announced a record crowd, over 1000, I saw pics and it looks legit.

Like I said on the podcast, great decision to charge premium pricing ($30 GA, $50 front row), looks like a monster $30K+ gate, good for them, good for indie wrestling.

And the thing with Chikara, is they don't need those monster gates to break even or make money. They get their own guys over and don't have to pay big names to draw casuals. They made a fucking killing today.

I would say a little less than double of the PWS Night 1 Show.

Yes, they charged a legit $30 a head at minimum, no haggling. They had their closest row available for like $35. There was a smallish group of people that filtered out to I assume, the Hall of Fame, but the crowd was slightly less than the opener around mid-way through.

My first CHIKARA show. Slightly pricey (my boy paid, since I paid for KBB last night). But a good experience so far. It was just fun. Crowd has been into it.

Kaiju was $15 and I sat like 6 or 7 rows back. They wanted $25, but I laughed and said I got $15. I was a little intoxicated...not sure what the attendance was. There was a good number of people there, but less than Evolve...maybe...few hundred, but don't quote me, I really didn't get a head count. Not sure what CZW was at, but I heard it was "really good". WrestleCon was packed for CHIKARA and some dude that was there for the chicks said it was busy then, too. I would expect a big crowd for DGUSA, but I couldn't care less about the Hall of Fame, but I know a lot of people went so not sure if its more than CHIKARA. Another buddy of mine went to ROH and said there wasn't a lot of people there.

Would not shock me if every WrestleCon event makes a killing. Not much wiggle room to haggle. Place has a good number of people here.

DGUSA running away with event of the weekend right now. Fantastic first half. Only downer was Jon Davis who is a vacuum of positive vibes. Larry Dallas has gtfo heat. Nearly ended the show because he got a mic in his hand.

Everything otherwise has hit.

Tozawa and Ricochet match of the day. Second best match of the weekend. SSB v EITA/tomahawk TT started slow but they closed strong. Chucky T invitational was fun. Rich Swan is a great curtain jerker.

Young Bucks vs CIMA/Fox was fucking awesome.

This show is pretty god damn awesome. Aside from the Scott Reed squash/Scene breaup angle, and the Jon Davis/Trent WWE style slow as fuck shitfest, everything else has been very good or flat out incredible.

All I have to say, is Gabe Sapolsky is back. Wow. I'm stunned, the crowd was stunned.

Match was off the charts, Shingo had everybody believing, but in the back of our minds we knew Johnny was going to fucking survive again, and then BOOM, m'fer does a heel turn, low blows Shingo, and chokes him with a fucking rope for the KO.

Awesome match, awesome turn, awsome show. A million thumbs up. The kind of show that makes you love wrestling again.
