I just can't for the life of me of me figure this out...... I'm raging so hard right now, but more out of confusion.

It would be one thing if Detroit were beating the hell out of us. But they're not, and winning today on a PP goal after captain serious takes back to back pens sucks. Big it doesn't suck as much as the goals completely drying up. Wtf? Hawks pick a hell of a time to go on their first three game losing streak......

1 goal in the past 2 games for this offense.... Post and crossbar has been hit about 6. Just ain't getting that bounce right now, and now they are fucked.

Team speed difference is killing Chicago. The Wings are simply a faster team and taking advantage of it. Reminds me of Montreal-Washington a few years ago, when Washington thought it was a done deal. Detroit's team speed, positional discipline and slightly better goaltending are the difference. All that said, this series isn't over yet. 3-1 isn't 4-1.

Doesn't help when Patrick Kane decides in the playoffs that he wants to be a playmaker instead of a scorer. Spanning three seasons, in his last 22 playoff games he has 15 assists and only THREE goals. This is a guy who has never had lower than 20 goals in a season, yet come playoffs, he just can't get it done.
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.

Blackhawks came out really strong in the first. I figured we'd see a beat down. Then Toews got stupid and the tides turned.

People on Facebook around here are praising Howard, these are the same people who were bashing him before the playoffs.

Here we go. Tonight is the hardest game of the series. Game 5 was always going to be Chicago's. As will more than likely game 7. BUT, they have to get it back to Chicago and that wont be easy at all. Tonights the night. :nervous:

I've never rooted for the wings, but I am tonight because I want the Penguins back on TV the sooner the better.

Game 7....I'm not taking anything for granted. Hawks need to come out focused and not let Detroit strike first.

                          That 3rd period was horseshit.

Detroit didn't seem to be doing anything different in Game 6 (roughing up Toews, stick holding on Toews and Stalberg, interference/holding on everyone, slashing on breakaways, Franzen/"Abelskivver"/Cleary taking runs at the goalie, etc.), yet the refs are starting to call some of it. I thought in Games 4 & 5 Toews had two breakaways where he was taken down...one time it was an incredulous no-call, the other they just awarded a regular penalty. The Frolik breakaway penalty was mild compared to whats gone on previously.

I thought it was weird that the Hawks got the most favorable officiating in Detroit. Will be an interesting game 7. I still think the series is 50/50.

Smith was brutal on Bickell's goal. Didn't take the man at all, so Franzen yells at him to get on him. He acknowledges Franzen, but doesn't move. Franzen yells again, nothing. Bickell scores.

Total mental fart to give up that positioning so easily.

And yeah, the calls are in favour of Chicago, figured it would be that way, the league doesn't want Chicago to get eliminated. They want them in the finals.

Not that im disagreeing with you...but what calls exactly did the Hawks get? The penalty shot was clearly a penalty, weather you want to give him the shot or not is the only iffy part. It seemed like the Hawks got called for a lot of calls during that game, and the one at the end of the game damn near bit them in the ass.
