John Guidetti, Karim Rekik, Micah Richards, and Dedryck Boyata come to mind as solid homegrown players that have been with City for 3 years between the ages of 15-21. so four more to go right?
looking forward to seeing what the young players can do against tough competition
Micah is away btw.Comment

Absolute joke. It was pretty apparent that UEFA wasn't going to actually give FFP any teeth and they didn't. It makes total sense to decide that a club is breaking rules regarding spending too much money and "punish" them by giving them a fine. 50m is a huge sum of money, yet its a mere portion of City's or PSG's operating budget for the year. Does any believe it will legitimately affect their approach to the summer?
They've basically turned it into a luxury tax, at least in City's case. PSG is facing a bit nastier sanctions but hardly enough to truly deter clubs.Comment

The initial punishments should be harsh. Why else would clubs respect the requirements? Clubs had massive notice that these requirements were coming. They've had years to get ready and simply chosen not to. So now they get the financial equivalent of a light rap on the wrist. They are essentially being told to pay a luxury tax. For a club with a seemingly unlimited budget, how does that motivate them to change their ways and comply?Comment
