From "tarrot" of the Observer board:

    Updated scenarios for tomorrow:

    A Block:

    Can get 12:
    DBS Jr
    Makabe
    Shibata

    Can get 11:
    Okada
    Tanahashi

Shibata wins, he's in the finals, that simple.

DBS Jr. beats Archer (and, for heels, I'm still of the opinion any finisher Archer doesn't lay down on), and Shibata loses, he's in.

Makabe needs to beat Devitt and have Tanahashi beat Shibata.

Tanahashi needs DBS and Makabe to lose and to beat Shibata.

Okada needs DBS and Makabe to lose, beat Kojima, and to have Shibata/Tanahashi got to a time limit draw. In this scenario, Tana would have 10, Shibata and Okada would have 11, Okada would advance on a tiebreak.

    B Block:

    Can get 12:
    Suzuki
    Nakamura
    Anderson

    Can win:
    Naito

    Can screw stuff up
    Yujiro
    Benjamin

Suzuki wins, he's in the finals.

Anderson needs a Suzki loss and to win against Naito.

Nakamura needs to win and Suzuki and Anderson to lose.

Naito need a Suzuki, Nakamura, and Yujiro loss (he faces Anderson), and then he holds a tiebreaker over Suzuki, Nakamura, Anderson, and Nagata at 10.

A Yujiro win and Anderson/Suzuki/Nakamura loss creates a massive tie at the top of the brackets. Yujiro would have a tiebreaker over Naito and Benjamin, Naito would have a tiebreaker over everyone at 10 except Yujiro, Suzuki would hold a tiebreaker over everyone except Naito, Anderson would hold one over Nakamura/Benjamin, Anderson over Nakamura, Yujiro, and Benjamin. In short, a Yujiro win screws up everyone at 10 points tomorrow and creates a mess that is impossible to sort out.

Well you found a good one.

Ishii is really amazing. Coming into the tournament he was an undercard heel who was a bottom guy in his own unit, let alone the company pecking order. He's a journeyman who started in the early 90's as a prelim guy in Genichiryu Tenryu's WAR promotion, the same place that gave Chris Jericho his first big break.

Anyway, this dude has had tough, physical, MOTY contenders throughout this entire tournament and is probably the tournament MVP. The Shibata match is something else. As is the Makabe match from earlier tonight. All of his matches, really.

They've found something with this guy. They just keep pumping out new stars.

And all of the matches have taken place over the course of roughly one year. I have no more words for how good these two are together and have no idea how they can ever top this run.

This show was amazing. Do whatever it takes to see it."

G1 rolled into Sumo Hall for the first of two consecutive nights to wrap up what to this point had already been a legendary tournament. The booking was likely thrown into a frenzy due to the injuries to Hiroyoshi Tenzan & one of the favorites (and points leader of his block when he went down), […]

I've run out of words for this company. Tanahashi is the best. Maybe ever. And Okada is right on his tail and will probably surpass him because he's 24. TWENTY FOUR. This is the best in ring rivalry, possibly ever. Better than Flair/Steamboat. Better than HBK/Undertaker. Better than Danielson/anybody. Better than RVD/Lynn. And i'm about to concede its better than Misawa/Kobashi.

Watch this spoiler free is you can. Four to five fantastic matches. 5-star main event. I'm done, I cant rate these things anymore. Scale is broken. Three shows of the year in one week. How can anybody rank these? Plus Invasion Attack & WrestleKingdom.

New Japan is the GOAT. That's it. I'm convinced. And it's only a year into this run. And the fucking G1 Finals are tonight and may top it all. Fuck me, it can't get better in a ring. If you aren't watching New Japan, you lose.
That no talent hack Dave Meltzer is clearly reading VOW & stealing my narratives:

--Will have more later on this but Tanahashi vs. Okada is the current equivalent of Thesz vs. O'Connor, Jack Brisco vs. Dory Funk Jr. and Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat. I'm not listing Misawa vs. Kobashi because as good as Tanahashi vs. Okada is, until they repeatedly win match of the year, I'm not putting them in the same category.

LOL, definitely some similarities. He's just tried to go even more old school to try and out Wrestling Hipster you

I wanted to go with a headline of "Naito no-sells Knee, Wins G1", but kept it diplomatic.

It's official, I hate that guy.

We’ve run our of superlatives to describe what is happening in New Japan Pro Wrestling. New Japan’s 2012 was one of the greatest years New Japan has ever had, and with a quarter of the year to go, New Japan in 2013 may already be the singular greatest year any promotion has ever had, period. […]

Match was dramatic & had off the charts heat, and Tanahashi rocks, but Naito bugs me.

What a tournament. Don't sleep on that six man tonight.
