Is August 2013 the best in ring month in the history of Pro Wrestling?

I say it has to be. What could possibly be better?

-New Japan G1 was the best G1 ever and produced legit MOTY contenders 6 of the 9 nights and ****+ matches every night.

-SummerSlam had two all time classics.

-DDT Peter Pan 2013 had an awesome ****1/2 main event with Okada/Ibushi

-Cesaro/Zayn on NXT

-ROH had two very well received shows, All Star Extravaganza in Toronto & Manhattan Mayhem in NYC. (disclaimer - have not seen yet)

I might be missing something. Just an unreal month.

I can't even think of anything that would be anywhere near close.
January 95 had two Meltzer ***** in Kenta Kobashi vs. Toshiaki Kawada and Mitsuharu Misawa & Kenta Kobashi vs. Toshiaki Kawada & Akira Taue but nothing else in the world... obviously WWF and WCW were non factors.

Maybe some month in the '05-'07 range when NOAH was still really good, ROH was on fire, and WWE had a really good PPV? An epic ROH weekend or two combined with a really good WWE PPV, a really good NOAH Budokan Hall show, and maybe even a good TNA PPV?

I seriously doubt anything was better. G1 alone had 4 show of the year contenders. There are at least ten matches getting some level of MOTY buzz this month.

June 99 had Mitsuharu Misawa vs. Kenta Kobashi vs. Kenta Kobashi & Jun Akiyama vs. Mitsuharu Misawa & Yoshinari Ogawa. WWF had Over the Edge :/ and WCW had a horrendous Great American Bash that month.

Also, LOL TNA. Would a single TNA match rate in the Top 100 this year? Top 200? Gail Kim vs Taryn Terrell ladder match is probably the best match, right?

Sadly, Gail Kim/Taryn Terrell (one of the two matches) would be their best match. I legitimately have NOTHING on my spread sheet with all of my MotYCs under the TNA column. Nothing. And I've got well over 100 matches with a rating next to them.

And, just think...this is a company with AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian, Kurt Angle, TJP, on the roster...and they can't muster a single thing worthy of discussion outside of a chicks match.
