Please tell me there was a show in/around that baseball stadium. Otherwise, why bother with the wrist tape/elbow pads...or the rest of it for that matter.

Just got Fight Network, so among the few wrasslin shows they have is an hour long one that showcases one NJPW match and a CMLL match. So, on the DVR I've got a pair of New Japan matches from a few years back to get to: Nakamura vs. Go Shiozaki (NJPW vs. NOAH from one of the Tokyo Dome shows) and a six man with Mistico, Prince Devitt & Taguchi vs. Averno, Jado & Gedo.

Btw, one of the timeslots for this is Monday nights at 9pm.

That NJPW/CMLL show sounds pretty awesome, and a great way to catch up on matches you've missed over the years. Hopefully DirecTV picks up Fight Network, but i've been hoping for that for years.

Through five nights, this year's G1 is actually better than last year's, which is amazing. All five shows were nothing less than good, with three show of the year contenders. Many are calling night four one of the best shows ever, and then two nights later night five topped it.The booking is so much better this year with even the low card guys like Yano & Shelton having storylines. Aside from Gallows & Suzuki the entire field has brought something great to the table.

USTREAM isn't dead yet. Dragon Gate has Scandal Gate on 8/5, and also runs 8/17.

On 8/17 there will be a Dragon Gate iPPV, AAA Triple Mania, and SummerSlam.

Watched AJ/Suzuki. Fun match, when Suzuki punches him before the end, I popped.

Warner...do your boy a solid. Can you compile a list in chronological order of the ***3/4+ matches from G1. Been traveling so I haven't seen anything. Also...maybe the 2-3 definitive shows? I would read reviews but dont want to be spoiled.

1, 4, 5, 7, 8 have gotten Show of the Year buzz. Yes, that many.

I've seen people say 5 & 8 are among the best shows ever.

Consensus order of best to worst of those seems to be 8, 5, 4, 7, 1.

3 is the only one so far i'd call skippable, but it wasnt bad at all.

Words can not describe how great it has been. Remember how awesome last year was? Best tournament ever, yadda yadda? This year is roughly 100X better, and i'm not exaggerating. Even people who aren't big New Japan fans like Dylan Hales have given most of the shows rave reviews.

I'll put together a match list soon.

I havent seen any of the shows yet. The goal is to watch the best of matches from the non-essential shows....but the best shows get full watches.

Toss in Tanahashi/AJ & Nak/Okada from the finals. 33 matches, see you next spring.

Perhaps I wanted to watch the finals last night live...I couldn't do it...all because of you. Now they'll never get my $35!
