Not a bad game for United. Doesn't hurt that Martinez and Schweiny miss the second leg. Commentators keep saying that others have a shot at Allianz because of recent results while ignoring the context of those results. The Arsenal win was after they were already well down in the tie, City won in the last group stage game after Bayern had already topped the group, the Chelsea one in the Final was technically a draw.

Still a 1-1 is pretty good when most pundits had a solid Bayern win down. Personally, I hope Moyes goes for it in Germany. Unfortunately, I think he's inherent negativity will force them to sit back and Bayern will turn the screw

I'm torn. I never even thought this draw would happen tonight. I want him to go vor it and get more than one goal, but his inherent negativity worked tonight. And that gives them a fighting chance, not a huge chance, but a chance none the less.

I must say, fantastic result that was just as infuriating. Lose to so many teams at OT, then play the best team in the world to a draw.

And Danny Welbeck showing once again that he is Daniel Sturridge without the goal scoring capabilities. He does all the hard work, runs his arse off, then blows his load right before squandering chance after chance.

All in all, good night. Unexpected night. Bastian, Javi, and Thiago all out, so Im thinking Pep will come out with a really aggressive squad. Now it's about going there and holding on for dear life.

Mancs were dire but hey whatever gets you the result and gives you a fighting chance Do have to laugh at the fact that the same ones praising last nights performance were having a go at Chelsea for doing the same thing 2 years ago though I thought it would be ugly yesterday but I really can't see how it doesn't get ugly in the return leg in Munich.

Thought Chelsea were slightly unlucky, really needed to get another goal in the first half when PSG where floundering. Was a much improved PSG in the second half, Chelsea's lack of quality upfront really showed, surely they must pay whatever it takes to get Costa and probably another in this Summer? Pastore's goal hurts but still all to play for imo as I don't think a 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge is outside the realm of possibility, though. Real quiet night for Ibra, was expecting more from him.

                              No Bayern-Real final

Though we get to see them play twice which is a positive I suppose, Bayern are obviously the favorites but I'll be rooting for Madrid. Chelsea and Atletico should be pretty tasty as well, second leg being at Stamford Bridge probably gives Chelsea the edge, UEFA have said Courtois will be allowed to play as well which is good.

Well...didn't see this coming. 3-0 in the game and it could be more if Bale and Ronaldo had pulled Shelveys and hit the net from distance
